There were many surprises and shocking moments, but Liv Morgan ultimately walked away the winner of the 2026 women’s Rumble match at today’s WWE Royal Rumble event. Morgan pulled off the first Rumble win in her career to clinch a world title shot at WrestleMania 42.

Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and friends Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss shockingly started things off at No. 1 and No. 2. They teased that there would be tension at first, and they both teased getting the jump on each other multiple times. However, they ultimately proved they were just kidding and aligned with each other, waiting for the third entrant, Kiana James.

Ironically, it would be Charlotte Flair who later eliminated Alexa Bliss, accidentally eliminating her tag team partner when Bliss and Nia Jax were both on the apron. Now, Charlotte will have to deal with taking her friend out of the match later.

Becky Lynch entered at No. 9. However, the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion ended up later getting eliminated by her rival, Nattie Neidhart, after Lynch eliminated Maxxine Dupri.

Another inadvertent tag team elimination came later in the match, as Kairi Sane inadvertently eliminated her Kabuki Warriors tag team partner, Asuka. Iyo Sky then took advantage and eliminated the shocked Kairi. An angry Asuka then grabbed Kairi by the hair and dragged her out of the ringside area.

Brie Bella also made a shocking WWE return, entering the ring at No. 29 in the women’s Rumble. It was Brie’s first WWE match and Rumble appearance since making a women’s Rumble appearance in 2022. She did the trademark Bryan Danielson “YES!” kicks as the fans chanted “YES!” Michael Cole even acknowledged that Bella was paying homage to her husband, but didn’t mention him by name. Lastly, former WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton ended the entrants at No. 30.

Lash Legend (No. 15) proved to be a strong performer during the Rumble. She eliminated both of the Bella Twins and Charlotte Flair, who entered the match at No. 1 and lasted over 59 minutes. She also eliminated former WWE Women’s Champion and current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Iyo Sky!

Liv Morgan Wins Royal Rumble After Making It To the End With Sol Ruca & Tiffany Stratton

After Lash Legend pulled off five eliminations, it was Rhea Ripley who shut her down, clotheslining her out of the ring. That started off a quick succession of eliminations. Raquel Rodriguez powerbombed Rhea Ripley out of the ring. Then Liv Morgan shockingly tossed out her own tag team partner and eliminated Rodriguez. It is indeed every woman for herself.

That left Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, and Sol Ruca as the final three women left standing. Sol Snatcher tried to throw out both women after a double-Sol Snatcher. However, with all three women precariously on the apron, Stratton managed to slam Ruca out.

However, Liv Morgan then quickly retaliated, hitting Stratton with Oblivion to slam to the floor and win the match. For the first time in her career, Liv Morgan wins the Royal Rumble!

Liv Morgan has competed in all of the women’s Rumble matches. She’s the only other woman in WWE, besides Nattie, to appear in all of them. She’s been a runner-up twice, but she had never won the Royal Rumble, until now.

Morgan now gets a title shot of her choosing at WrestleMania 42 in April. The Women’s World Title is currently held by Stephanie Vaquer, with Jade Cargill holding the WWE Women’s Title on SmackDown. Jacy Jayne holds the NXT Women’s Title.
