Masha Slamovich competed in her first match since she exited TNA after allegations of domestic abuse, appearing at a Circle 6 show on Friday. The former TNA World Knockouts Champion faced Haley J at Circle 6’s Cell Block 6 event in Los Angeles, California. The match, like all of the bouts at the event, were cage matches.
Slamovich posted a Reel of highlights from the match to her Instagram account. You can see the video below.
This is Slamovich’s first match since she was investigated by TNA for allegations of domestic abuse. A friend of Slamovich’s former partner AKIRA posted a Dropbox link to over 100 screenshots of text messages which appeared to show Slamovich admitting to hitting AKIRA, making money demands and committing acts of emotional abuse.
Slamovich was removed from her scheduled match at TNA Victory Road over the matter, and her contract was ultimately not renewed. Slamovich’s deal with TNA was close to being up at the time of the allegations and it was still a question of whether she would stay with the company before the allegations broke.
The former TNA star issued a statement soon after the allegations became public. She described her relationship with AKIRA as “toxic and mutually destructive relationship” and said “We hurt each other deeply, and in private moments, failed to treat each other with the consideration and respect we both deserve.” She apologized and said that she had “sought help to reflect on this time and deal with conflict in more mature, healthier, and sustainable ways.”
