Masked Republic’s Vampiro: Rockabilly Apocalypse Comic Releases First Issue

Masked Republic and Massive Publishing’s Vampiro: Rockabilly Apocalypse comic has released its first issue. The ongoing comic book series released its first issue today, with Vampiro and writer Michael Kingston signing at The Wrestling Universe store as Masked Republic announced over the weekend:

“This Wednesday @vampiro_vampiro will be at @TheWrestlingUni in NYC for the release of his new comic book Vampiro: Rockabilly Apocalypse #1 from @maskedrepcomics & @Massivepublish as well as his extremely limited edition coffin box figure from @LegendsOfLucha & @BossFightStudio.

Fans at Wrestling Universe will have a chance to get the figure before it goes on sale to the public on Thursday. Comics, figures and your own merchandise is available to be autographed plus photo ops. Series writer Michael Kingston (@HeadlockedComic) will be there too – there will be VERY few chances to get both Michael and Vampiro to sign issue #1 in person together this year. Comics start at $5, figures at $20 with autographs & photo ops for $25 each or $40 for a combo. This is your only chance to meet Vampiro in NYC in support of the new comic and figure without a ticket to New York Comic Con on Thursday. The signing will take place on Wednesday October 16th from 6-9 PM at The Wrestling Universe located at 199-07 34th Ave, Flushing NY 11358.”

Vampiro: Rockabilly Apocalypse is written by Kingston with art from Martin Pouso. The book is described as follows:

It’s a tale filled with monsters, muscle cars, luchadores, cops, clowns, nuns, guns, demons, blood and plenty of BBQ as our heroes race against time -and a whole host of enemies – to try and thwart a secret plan to jumpstart the apocalypse!
