Matt Hardy Believes Powerhouse Hobbs Has A Ton Of Potential In WWE

On the latest episode of Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy, the TNA star talked about reports that Powerhouse Hobbs has finished his time with AEW and is potentially bound for WWE. Hobbs has reportedly signed with the company and could potentially debut at any time. You can check out some highlights below:

On Hobb’s Future:

“I think he has a ton of potential in WWE. He probably could have done more in AEW. I feel like there were a couple of moments where he kind of organically started getting over and they never really pulled the trigger on him, and that has happened quite a few times with quite a few guys in AEW in the past. But I think he’s got a great look. He has an awesome attitude. He is down for whatever, he’s very much a company guy, wherever he’s at. And I got lots of love for that dude, man. I think he’s great. I enjoyed getting to know him. I enjoy getting to be friends with him. And I think he does have a ton of upside when it is his opportunity to shine in WWE.”

On Where WWE Should Put Him:

“It’s interesting that you say that. Because there might be a point where they might want to educate him-slash-reeducate him just by being in NXT and making sure that, ‘Hey, this is the WWE style, and we want you to get some reps in. We want you to know exactly what we’re doing before we send you to the main roster.’ But I do miss the thrill of like, having a guy from a competing brand, a competing company. And like popping him into a big spot on the main roster, which I think that’d be real cool to do with him too. I think it’d be cool to do that every so often.”

On NXT Needing Him Right Now:

“And that’s also another factor. They did just call up a s**tload of people. So they did. They do need to kind of get some new blood circulating in there.”

On Punk Being a Supporter Of His:

“Punk is a very, very big supporter of his, yes.”
