Mercedes Mone has been away from AEW for a couple of months, but she says that she’s “coming home” very soon. Mone has been away from AEW television since she appeared in a vignette on the January 10th episode of AEW Collision, announcing that she would be “taking a break” after she lost the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale. She has been doing a tour around independent promotions since, but she noted in an interview on IL61 that her return date is fast approaching.
When asked when she will be back in AEW, Mone said (per Twitter user Yasavva), “I’m returning (to AEW) really really soon. But right now I am on my Moné Madness Tour all over Europe. First it started in Mexico, now here in Italy, next stop is Paris, then London, then Poland, then Winnipeg. After that Mama is gonna return home.”
The last stop in Winnipeg will be for WPW Fight at the Musemum on March 31st, where she will defend the WPW Women’s Championship. That is just one day before AEW holds a Dynamite and Collision taping in the city at the Canada Life Centre.
Mone lost the AEW TBS Championship to Nightingale at New Year’s Smash. She has dropped a number of her independent titles and is down to just six as follows:
* Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship
* PTW Women’s Championship
* Bodyslam Women’s Championship
* WPW Women’s Championship
* APAC Women’s Championship
* 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Championship
