Mike Bailey is disappointed that they are not going to face Darby Allin in the AEW Continental Classic, but they say their plans have not changed as a result. As announced on AEW Collision, Allin’s injury is such that he cannot continue in the tournament. AEW replaced Allin with Jack Perry going forward in the tourney.

Bailey reacted to Allin’s removal in their latest vlog. Recording from their home, Bailey said that they were disappointed Allin was being removed as the two have not ever had a one-on-one match before. Bailey said their stance on the tournament has not changed though, and they will win “by any means necessary.” You can see highlights below:

On Not Facing Darby Allin:

“Our house is nowhere near Columbus, Ohio which is exactly where I said I would be just about 30 seconds ago on this vlog. And I am not there. The reason why is that things got shaken up in the Gold League. And as was announced on Collision, Darby Allen is out.

“And that is very unfortunate because I was very, very much looking forward to being in the ring for the very first time ever — not just in AEW, ever — with Darby Allen. Match was going to be nuts for sure. And now in his place is one ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry.”

On His Reaction To the Change:

“And I’m — you know, I don’t care. I’m disappointed that I don’t get to wrestle Darby Allen. I’m excited to wrestle Jungle Jack Perry. But my stance on the entire tournament stays the same. and I will do whatever I need to win the whole thing. And I’ve still got to get through Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Kevin Knight, and now Jungle Jack Perry.”
