NJPW Announces Wrestle Kingdom 20 Is Sold Out, Will Add More Seats

NJPW has a big crowd set for Wrestle Kingdom 20, announcing that the show has sold out. The promotion announced on Saturday that the Tokyo Dome show has sold out all existing tickets.

The promotion added that more seats will be added. They will announce details on additional seating soon. The full announcement reads:

Thanks to everyone’s support, all seating options for “Sansei R&D presents WRESTLE KINGDOM 20 in Tokyo Dome – Hiroshi Tanahashi’s Retirement,” to be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, have sold out as originally planned.

Following the arena seats, all stand seats have now sold out, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the great response and expectations from everyone.

The show will feature Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement match as he battles Kazuchika Okada. NJPW noted that ticket sales are the highest for Wrestle Kingdom since the annual show launched in 2007.

The show airs live on NJPW World. The announced card thus far is:

* IWGP World Heavyweight Championship and IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship: Konosuke Takeshita vs. Yota Tsuji.
* NEVER Openweight Championship Match: EVIL vs. Aaron Wolf.
* IWGP Women’s Championship & Strong Women’s Championship Match: Saya Kamitani vs. Syuri.
* IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship #1 Contenders Match: El Desperado vs. Kosei Fujita vs. Taiji Ishimori vs. SHO.
* Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kazuchika Okada.
