NJPW Strong Independence Day Night 1 Results 7.04.23: New Champs Crowned

– NJPW Strong Independence Day: Night 1 was held earlier today at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The event had an announced attendance of 1,433 people. In the main event, El Desperado and Jun Kasai were successful, defeating Jon Moxley and Homicide in a No DQ Match.

Also, during today’s event, The Bullet Club team of Alex Coughlin and Gabe Kidd beat Bishamon to capture the NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Titles. Meanwhile, The Bullet Club’s Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney beat the team of Francesco Akira and TJP to become the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. * Ryusuke Taguchi, Oskar Leube & YOH beat Kengo, Takahiro Katori & Dragon Libre at 10:45.
* Bad Dude Tito beat The DKC at 7:29.
* Team Filthy (JR Kratos, Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs) beat Ryohei Oiwa, Alex Zayne & Lance Archer at 10:26.
* Tom Lawlor beat Kosei Fujita at 8:59.
* Rocky Romero & Eddie Kingston beat The Bullet Club (KENTA & Gedo) at 9:29.
* Willow Nightingale & Momo Kohgo beat Donna Del Mondo (Giulia & Thekla) at 9:54.
* NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships: The Bullet Club’s War Dogs (Alex Coughlin & Gabe Kidd) beat Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto) (c) to win the belts at 12:18.
* IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships: The Bullet Club’s War Dogs (Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) beat The Catch 2/2 (Francesco Akira & TJP) (c) to capture the titles at 15:36.
* Doomsday No DQ Match: Jun Kasai & El Desperado beat Jon Moxley & Homicide at 18:34.
