Rich Swann made his return to TNA a couple of months ago, and a new report has an update on his contract status. Swann returned on the August 7th episode of Impact, replacing KC Navarro in First Class. Swann and and AJ Francis attacked the injured Navarro after Francis told the latter star he had been replaced by the returning Swann.
Swann’s return came four months after he exited TNA in April. Swann had been on good terms with the company at that time. Fightful Select reports that Swann is not currently under a contract and works for TNa on a per-appearance basis.
Swann is not the only person who works per-appearance for TNA. A number of wrestlers are under such a deal, while some others are under short-term deals.
Swann is a former TNA World Champion. He has also held the X-Division Championship and Digital Media Championships during his runs with the company. He last appeared for TNA at Bound For Glory in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet.
Outside of TNA, Swann makes appearances for NWA including challenging for the TV Title at NWA Samhain 3 on October 17th. He has also made appearances for Wrestling REVOLVER, House of Glory and more over the last several months.
