Oba Femi Retains NXT Title Against Je’Von Evans On WWE NXT With Ricky Saints’ Help

Oba Femi is still your NXT Champion, retaining the title against Je’Von Evans on WWE NXT after Ricky Saints got involved. As noted, Evans laid claim to the title shot he earned at NXT Deadline on tonight’s show. The match was the main event and saw Evans take The Ruler to the limit.

Evans nearly had the title won after he hit a cutter on the champion. However, Saints pulled the referee out of the ring. Evans dove onto Saints on the outside and went back in to hit another cutter, but Femi countered and hit the Fall From Grace for the win. As he left the ringside area to close the show, Femi had a tense stare off with Saints.

Saints lost the NXT Championship at NXT Deadline on Saturday. He declared his wish for a rematch earlier on tonight’s show. You can see highlights from the WWE NXT match below.
