New TBS Champion Crowned On AEW Dynamite

Queen Aminata is the new AEW TBS Champion, wresting the title from Persephone in the main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite. Aminata challenged Persephone for the title on Wednesday night’s Fright Night episode and ultimately picked up the victory to win the title.

Persephone had help from Britt Baker, but Aminata fought against the odds and survived a late title belt shot from Baker behind the ref’s back, kicking out at the last instant from a pinfall attempt by Persephone. Aminata was able to stagger Persephone with a headbutt, then hit a running knee strike to end the AEW and CMLL star’s TBS Title reign.

You can see clips from the AEW Dynamite match below. This marks Queen Aminata’s first title reign in AEW. Persephone’s TBS Championship reign ends at 59 days, having won it from Maya World at AEW All In: London.
