Rob Van Dam Doesn’t Think Matt Riddle’s Days In WWE Are Necessarily Done

Matt Riddle has seemingly burned his bridges with WWE, but Rob Van dam doesn’t think Riddle’s door is entirely closed there. Riddle has found himself in hot water over the past couple of weeks after he no-showed a wrestling event in the UK, got pulled from a convention over comments about #MeToo made while responding to the no-show claims, and then took shots at both CM Punk and AJ Lee. A lot of people believe that he’s burned those WWE bridges, especially considering that he wasn’t in a good place with them when he was released. However, Van Dam pointed out to TMZ Sports that, at least historically, bridges in WWE are not so easy to burn down.

“Bridges are flame-retardant in the professional wrestling business,” Van Dam told the hosts (h/t to Wrestling Inc). “You’re [talking] about a business where Sable sued for millions and then got hired back, after also being open about the s**t that was going on in the dressing room, which was also detrimental from a business company’s perspective. And boom, hire her back. If it means money, it means money.”

Riddle is the current MLW World Champion and will defend the title against Donovan Dijak at MLW Fightland this weekend.
