Roxanne Perez Reflects On What It’s Like Going An Hour In the Royal Rumble

Roxanne Perez has the record for longest lasting in the women’s Royal Rumble, and she recently discussed what it feels like to go over an hour in the match. Perez set the record at the 2025 Royal Rumble, lasting 1:07:45 and being the runner-up to Charlotte Flair. It was her third Royal Rumble, and she was also a part of this year’s Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

Perez spoke with Allenownz Wrestling for a new interview and during the conversation, she was asked whether what it feels like to go that long. She noted that when the match ended, it felt like it was just 10 minutes to her. She also compared her Rumble experiences in the US vs. her Saudi Arabia experience. You can see the highlights below:

On What It Feels Like to Go An Hour in the Rumble:

“So, people have asked me that a lot about like, if when I’m in the ring in the Rumble, if it feels like it’s so long or I’m like counting the minutes. But honestly, as soon as the Rumble ends I’m like, ‘That literally felt like 10 minutes.’ It goes by so fast. There’s so many things happening, so many women coming out, so many — you’re constantly just trying to throw someone over. So, you’re constantly just going, going, going, going. So, by the time it ends, you’re just like, ‘Whoo! That was fun.'”

On Doing a US Royal Rumble vs. the One In Saudi Arabia:

“I mean, it was different in the sense that we are completely covered in latex. So in that match it — like we said, it’s an hour. So, you are getting pretty hot. You are like, using a lot of of your wind. So, when you’re sweating out there and you’re in full latex, long sleeves, long pants, turtleneck — that is what is very different.

“But I mean, I think the atmosphere in San Antonio, Texas was insane. Because I am from Laredo, Texas. So I do remember that atmosphere just being so freaking cool. My family was there, my entire family was there. It was my first Rumble, so that was exciting, too. It was very full circle.”
