TNA Wrestling Director of Authority and former WWE Superstar Santino Marella recently competed in a Jiu-Jitsu competition at Jiu-Jitsu Con in Las Vegas, where he won a gold medal. The 52-year-old recently competed in the Master 5 super heavyweight division at purple belt, representing Zenith BJJ.
Marella finished first out of five competitors. Writing about the experience on social media, Marella commented, “Just landed back in Toronto. It was a hard-fought weekend to say the least. My jaw is not perfectly aligned. My back is a bit fucked up, & my feet are bleeding, I’m afraid to take off my shoes. We got gold though, so that’s a sweet feeling. Thank you to everybody is all I can say at this time. #bjj 🙏🏽”
Santino Marella currently serves as the on-air Director of Authority for TNA. He last wrestled in TNA at the June 4 edition of iMPACT, where he teamed with Indi Hartwell in a mixed tag team bout, in which they defeated BirthRight (Arianna Grace & Channing Lorenzo).
