Shane Helms Says He’s Starting To Get Back Into Spandex Shape

Shane Helms last stepped into a WWE ring at the 2021 Royal Rumble as his popular “Hurricane” persona for a cameo appearance. He recently spoke with Gabby LaSpisa on her Gabby AF podcast (per Fightful).

During the interview, LaSpisa asked about the possibility of Helms making a more substantial return to in-ring competition.

“Maybe. I’m starting to be able to get back into spandex shape, now. For a while, it wasn’t an option. They actually wanted me to do…John Cone called me and there was an appearance for me to do as Hurricane, head to toe. ‘John, you’ve seen me on TV every week. You know I can’t fit in that damn outfit.’ The spandex don’t lie. That shit tells the truth. Got me out there looking like a can of busted biscuits. I can’t have that on my conscience,” he said.
