WWE News: Details On Smackdown Talent Being Told To Make RAW Invasion Look Brutal, Fan Explains Popularity of Wrestling To Jeff Goldblum
– PWInsider reports that the Smackdown #UnderSiege backstage angle from this past Monday’s episode of RAW was taped earlier in the day. The Smackdown wrestlers were told to really “lay in” to the attacks on RAW superstars to make it look as “physically brutal” as possible. It’s believed that WWE officials and Vince McMahon wanted the attack to come off that way, to the point that when one talent threw a “typical working punch,” filming was stopped and reset so the audience wouldn’t see it. So it’s very likely the RAW wrestlers took some real, hard shots during the filming of the angle. As we previously noted, RAW may not get revenge until after the European tour is over.
– During an event to promote Thor: Ragnarok, Jeff Goldblum spotted that the interviewer was wearing a “Breezango Fashion Patrol” shirt and asked what it meant. The interviewer explained the worldwide popularity of pro wrestling, which Goldblum seemed interested in hearing about.
