Jim Ross has provided fans with a new update on his health following some issues with the shunt he had put in. As noted, the AEW commentator has been having some issues with headaches from the shunt that was put in via surgery in August.
Ross gave his regular update on the latest Grilling JR and noted that there was a spot discovered on his kidney and some tests are being run, while he is also getting a scan done to figure out what’s up with the shunt.
“I saw a little spot of something on my kidney,” JR said (per Wrestling Inc). “So we’re running a lot of tests. I’m getting…my shunts are bothering me in my brain. So I’m going to get a scan tomorrow and get that back to my neurosurgeon so he can tell me what the hell’s wrong. It may just need to be adjusted, that’s my take on it.”
He noted of the shunt, “I’ve had mine adjusted three times. So it’s not a recent situation. But at some point, I’ve got to deal with sleep. And I feel fatigued a lot. My oncologist is…sending me to a specialist in Oklahoma City for a little place on my kidney, but they’re not sure if its cancerous or not. So it’s been a stressful week. It really has.”
Jim Ross has been forced to miss a number of recent AEW events due to his health problems, including All In and All Out. On behalf of 411, our best wishes to JR on his continued recovery.
