WWE Money in the Bank Google Searches Down 60% From 2025

As we know, WWE Money in the Bank takes place this Saturday in New Orleans, Louisiana. The fields for the Men’s & Women’s Ladder Matches have been set. Roman Reigns will defend the World Championship against LA Knight; Oba Femi will take on Bronson Reed & Stephanie Vaquer will defend her World Women’s Championship. It feels like a pretty loaded card, but interest seems down from previous years of Money in the Bank.
One way to tell this is by looking at Google Search trends, which is a good way to tell what regular Google-using people are interested in. Currently, Money in the Bank as a topic is down 60% from where it was in the buildup to last year. There will be a spike this week, but right now that’s also expected to stay around the same level as last year. Overall, WWE searches are up 20% from 2025, so it’s been a good year for the company there up until now. However, that statistic has been dropping throughout the year.
Money in the Bank has traditionally taken place in the summer months. WWE business has historically been better in the spring & summer than during the fall & winter, so the interest level being down is nothing new. John Cena’s retirement last year proved an exception to the rule, so far it doesn’t seem like the Money in the Bank concept is, even with some of the company’s biggest names involved on the card. At one point, Money in the Bank was arguably one of the top 4 WWE events of the year; right now it seems like fans are cooling on the concept.
