John Cena Says He Has ‘No Guilt Or Shame’ About Friendship With Vince McMahon

John Cena has long been open about his friendship with Vince McMahon, something he doesn’t have any guilt over. Cena has spoken in the past about his friendship with the disgraced former WWE owner, who was forced to resign from TKO and WWE after Janel Grant filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault, abuse and sex trafficking.
Cena was asked about his relationship with McMahon in a new interview with The Guardian. He noted that he doesn’t feel guilty about the friendship, telling the interviewer:
“I have no guilt nor shame about my friendship and my relationship with Vince McMahon. You’re obviously going to put this in [your] article… It’s OK to love somebody when they’re not perfect.”
Cena previously said that while his feelings to McMahon are what they are, “just because I feel a certain way about a person doesn’t exonerate them from being accountable for their actions.”
McMahon and Grant settled the lawsuit in July, with both sides filing for a voluntary dismissal of the lawsuit.
John Cena stars in the upcoming Matchbox: The Movie, which arrives Apple TV on October 9th.
