Janel Grant, Vince McMahon, WWE File For Voluntary Dismissal Of Lawsuit

Janel Grant, Vince McMahon, and WWE have filed a motion for dismissal of Grant’s lawsuit against the other two parties. POST Wrestling reports that legal reps for all three parties filed on Friday for a voluntary dismissal of the lawsuit with prejudice.

The request comes after a joint motion was filed in June for the suit to enter private arbitration. That motion was approved by the court earlier this week.

Janel Grant originally filed the lawsuit in January of 2024, in which she accused McMahon of sexual assault, trafficking, and abuse. McMahon, who has denied the allegations, resigned from TKO and WWE the next day.

The motion to dismiss reads:

“Pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(a)(1)(A)(ii), Plaintiff Janel Grant, by and through her undersigned counsel, hereby files this voluntary dismissal of the above-captioned action. Plaintiff, Defendant World Wrestling Entertainment, LLC, and Defendant Vincent K. McMahon (together, the “Parties”) stipulate and agree that this action and all claims pled herein are hereby dismissed with prejudice, but without prejudice as to the Parties’ rights to pursue their claims and defenses in arbitration in accordance with their agreement to arbitrate.”

Once the judge approves the dismissal, the case will officially go to arbitration.
