Howdy ya’ll, I sincerely wish this Friday night / Saturday morning is treating you well, whenever you happen to read this, and let’s get down to some wrestling!

Josh Mathews stands outside the Staples Centre, awaiting the arrival of M.N.M, and here they are! Melina signs a photo of herself possessed by a rambunctious fan, and Theodore R. Long announces the pair will make their first Title defence …. LIVE, tonight! And it’ll be against ….. Eddie Guerrero and Dave Batista? Huhehh ?

Match #1: Tag Team Contest w/ Special Referee Bob ‘Hardcore’ Holly: Rey Mysterio, Jr. & Matt Hardy vs. John Bradshaw Layfield w/ Jillian Hall & ‘Captain Charisma’ Christian

*Ahh* fans in the crowd hold aloft the sign “USC Peeps” – so sad, so so sad.

The Captain and Hardy face off to start, collar and elbow tie up with Hardy gaining an early advantage via a side headlock and shoulder block take down. Quick two for Hardy, who is eventually victimized by Christian’s fisticuffs .. Hardy dodges, and decks JBL! Christian charges … and Hardy slings him over the ropes! Matt Hardy to the outside now …. Caught! In comes Rey ……. And he takes out all three men! Tag to Rey as things settle down, as he and JBL square off, with JBL running right hands all over his noggin in the SW corner. JBL and Holly begin to shove one another vehemently, allowing Mysterio a scant roll up for two, and Layfield gets the tag to Christian. Sit out Suplex bomb gets a pair for the good Captain, as he begins to knee Rey’s left arm with lifting strikes ….. Matt Hardy runs in now, and clubs Bob Holly! They argue for a bit, nothing of notes gets worked out, as Rey continues to be victimized by the heels. JBL tags in now, and he pounds on Mysterio’s back for a good measure, before sending a …. No, Rey dodges the clothesline! Basement dropkick! Springboard hurricanrana by Rey!! 1 …… 2 …………. 2.32! JBL decks Mysterio now, as he has simply had ENOUGH of this, and he slams the diminutive man’s head into the corner turnbuckle; Layfield whiffs on a couple of back elbow attempts, and Rey slings him into 619 position ……. Ohh, and Christian pulls him to safety! Thence, Layfield slams Rey’s head into the steel steps, back inside ……. 1 …….2 ……….. 2.51!

JBL and Christian double team Rey now, as the youthful face attempts to regain his bearings, but Christian offers him no such solace, cinching in an abdominal stretch. Mysterio eventually breaks free and lands a hurricanrana to Charisma! Will Rey get the hot tag ?? Christian hangs onto his boot, nearly a vise-like grip .. no! Tag to Layfield instead! John gets Rey up top in the NE corner, and follows him up … Rey punches back; JBL falls flat on his back ……. And pops back up! SUPER LAST CALL @!!$!!1 1 ……….. 2 …………………SAVE by Hardy!! Layfield now rounds Rey up like a cat on a mouse …. And Rey counters a second LC attempt into a swinging DDT!! Both men are now nearly DEAD. Each tags out! Matt Hardy is now in!! Right hand to Christian, big back elbow; SIDE EFFECT to Christian!! 1 …….2 ……………… 2.62!! TWIST OF FA …….. no, Christian charges out …. Boot from Hardy to Christian! YODELING LEG DROP …….. 1 ………2 ……………… SAVE from JBL! Layfield now wants a 2nd Last Call on Rey …… but Matt dropkicks Rey on top of him! JBL gets up and BOOTS Mysterio! Christian acquires some seating now, bringing a chair to the ring ….. and NAILING the argumentative Bob Holly! Holly don’t care much for that attitude, though, as he hits Christian with the ALABAMA SLAM! 6 .1 … 9!!! By Rey! TWIST OF FATE, and JBL begins to RUN OUT OF DODGE as Holly counts the 1,2,3 for Captain Charisma in his swansong performance.

Backstage Josh interviews T.R. Long, who is waiting in the parking garage for someone very special … Eric Bischoff!!

Sharmell struts on out to the ring now, introducing her dashing husband, and now United States Champion, Booker T! Book gets the mic from his woman and speaks on the gullibility of the lemming-like wrestling audience in attendance. He compliments his own acting in situations dating up to a month ago, putting over how transfixed he was as the face unbeknownst to his own kind’s cheating way ……. That is, until he went over to the dark side!

Book believes he needs some awards for these instances, as well as when he forced Sharmell “to apologise for [her] deeds.” Sharmell, for her part, claims that she faked out everybody, most notably Chris Benoit and his currently belt-less waist.

Teddy Long! Teddy tells Book that he is right .. he did have us all fooled. But, now that Chris Benoit knows all this, he’ll be ready to challenge for the United States Championship …. right now!

Match #2: Singles Contest for the Heavyweight Championship of the United States: Chris Benoit vs. Booker T (c)

Lock up to start, Benoit begins to chop Booker T silly, and he’s forced to take a breather. Benoit rolls Book back inside, however, and begins the chopping anew. He now sets Book up in the SE corner, chopping and stomping away, before hitting a vertical suplex. Random stomps to Booker ensue, but he hotshots Benoit on the top rope! IW to Benoit, T whiffs on a spin kick, and Benoit chops him! Two-arm lariat by Benoit! Chris drops an elbow now, and covers for a pair, but Booker is too strong and powers out. Chops now by Benoit, as he gets whipped by Book, and Sharmell grabs his ankles! Chris ain’t having none of that! Chris measures a right hand to Booker’s skull, but Book simply kicks him in the gut and now to the side of his head! Booker covers for 2.12 and argues about it for some odd reason; Book grabs a rear chinlock now, daring Benoit to arise out of it, knowing he lacks the interior strength to do so …… or does he? Benoit is up and ….. ohh, Book slings him up against and into the NW turnbuckle and Benoit floats out of a Suplex attempt! GERMAN!! Yes, he getss all three!

Benoit’s going UP TOP …….. HEADBU …….. no! Booker rolls over! AXE KI … whiff!! GERMAN #’s 4 & 5 ……. And Booker finally makes it to the ropes ……. CROSS-FA ….. no, Booker grabs the bottom rope and storms out of the ring. Sharmell gives chase, and this one ends in a count out.

Sharmell and Book look quite pleased with themselves, while Chris is just sort of dumbfounded by the entire fortification.

Match #3: Singles Contest: ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper vs. ‘ Cowboy’ Bob Orton

Bob says that Roddy put him to sleep last week, but tonight he’s got Piper right where he wants him … 1 on 1. Roddy ain’t gonna have anyone to protect him here tonight, so let’s get it on! For years, Cowboy did all the glorywork for Roddy, and now wants his recognition ……..

Bob goes to the Manhattan Drop and raking of the eyes school of offense early, punishing Roddy with right hands before giving way to knee scrapes in the SE corner. Piper now brings a clubbing palm down on Piper’s face and .. Piper fights back, shot for shot, right hand for right hand. Orton cinches in the rear chinlock, though ….. and Piper begins to elbow out! Ohhh, but a backbreaker by Orton to Piper. Suplex attempt is countered by Piper ….. SLEEPER!! Orton is fading fast, as Piper is really pulling on the Sleeper …… Bob goes down in a slumped position ……

And RANDY flies in, applying a Sleeper of his own to Piper before clubbing him in the cranium repeatedly! EuroCut by Orton, and another, and another; now, he lifts a knee up to Piper’s face, and Roddy crawls about lost in the ring.

Randy now asks RRP if he knows who he is; of course, Roddy fails to reply, though Randy makes it clear that if it weren’t for his daddy, why he’d be absolutely nothing.

Okay.

Match #4: Handicap Match: Bobby Lashley vs. The FBI (Nunzio & Big Vito)

Lashley must fend off various attacks from both men, until Nunzio flies off the top and Vito hits a side kick! Elbow by Vito, and both men cover Lashley simultaneously ….. for only a count of one! Both heels now club all over Bobby’s back, though the big man remains on his feet! ohh, SPINEBUSTER to Nunzio, ramming him right into Vito! Double arm Suplex to Vito! Shoulder block to Nunzio … double clothesline!! Lashley now simply picks Nunzio up and tosses him across the canvas ……….. and Lashley kicks Vito off the apron all while carrying Lashley on his back ….. Dominator-like Bomb! Lashley wins it!!

Backstage a limo pulls up, and pinstripe-bedecked Eric Bischoff steps out … and encounters THE BOOGEYMAN!

The big BM laughs maniacally as Eric traipses on by …

Teddy Long stands centre ring, introducing Bischoff to the partisan crowd; Tazz simply comments that he believes Bischoff to be in need of a good beating. Eric waltzes out, flanked by half a dozen security personnel, and steps into the ring. Teddy offers him his hand, though Eric no-sells him, and Teddy wants to “get down to business.”

Eric makes his statement: “This whole RAW vs. SD! thing is out of control.” See, lately, Teddy and SD! have just been taking the fight to RAW a bit too much. This has simply got to come to an end; hey, we’re both smart men. Why don’t we bury the hatchet at Survivor Series? Eric will pick his five best RAW guys to face Teddy’s best SD! folks, and all will be settled at SurSer!

Oh, and just because he can, Bischoff declares Bischoff “The B Show” w/ second rate wrestling, talent, production, leadership …. And even a “second rate audience.”

Teddy objects to these later remarks, but says that it’s on like Donkey Kong at SurSer, and it’ll end just like WCW did under Bischoff ….. in addition, Teddy wants a RAW vs. SD! singles contest …… he himself 1-on-1 with Eric Bischoff himself! Now, are you feeling that, playa??

Eric is, but Teddy has a surprise of his own; he goes crane style, and forces the security detail at ringside to evict Bischoff from the premises!

Match #5: Singles Contest: ‘Mr.’ Ken Kennedy vs. Scotty 2 Hotty

Tazz remarks that Ken’s “the greatest thing to come out of Green Bay since Bart Starr ……… Starr!”

Both men circle the other to start; Kennedy quickly boots Scotty down, however, and punts him in the side of the ribs to send Scotty down to the floor. Kennedy attempts to clear the crowd, then tosses 2 Hotty into the other side just to be a jerk, and covers for a deuce. Kennedy takes a couple vicious punch/slaps from 2 Hotty now, though quickly locks in a bear hug that appears to sap the life force out of Scotty. He goes back with a punch though ….. and …… SUPERKICK by Scotty! He’s starting to get that crazy feeling ….. THE WOR …. No, Ken gets up and clothesl …. Whiff by Kennedy! Scotty makes it to the top ropes, but Kennedy follows him up …….. SUPER SOMOAN ROLL!!!@$!! 1 ………..2 ………….. 3!!

Backstage Miss Melina is desperately planning strategery for later on ….

Match #6: MAIN EVENT Tag Team Match for the Tag Team Championship of the WWE: M.N.M. (Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro w/ Melina Perez) (c) vs. Eddie Guerrero & Heavyweight Champion of the World Dave Batista

Dave starts off w/ Mercury, who chats it up w/ Nitro and Perez for a long while. He eventually makes it out to Big Dave, he and Nitro assailing him from behind …… and Dave clotheslines both of them over the top! Back inside, Dave wails on Mercury in the face corner, as Eddie chokes him out via the tag rope; Eddie tags in now, sending Mercury to the ring and then somersaulting atop him via the apron! Tag to Dave who hits a double backbreaker …… save by Nitro!

Dave and Eddie now work Mercury all over the face corner, though Mercury reverses position and takes the fight to the heel corner …. Eddie extricates himself for a bit, however, and appropriates himself a steel chair!

Meanwhile, Nitro pounds on Eddie with punches and Eddie announces he’s 100% again! The two faces each pound on MNM for a long while, and Melina appears to want the tag! Eddie chooses to chase her around the ring for some reason, and Nitro catches Eddie unprepared! Nitro mounts Eddie now w/ punches and a tag to Mercury. Quick snapnare to Guerrero and a tag back to Nitro; Nitro distracts the ref while the heels begin to choke Eddie via the tag rope … cover, 1, 2 ……….. 2.42!

Rear Chinlock is applied to Eddie from Nitro; the crowd attempts to will Eddie back into this contest, as he escapes the predicament, only to be beaten down once more.

Dave wants a tag, though MNM is doing a good jo of isolating Eddie; wait, backbreaker by Guerrero! TAG TO DAVE!

Big back body drop! Shoulder thrusts! Splash to each member of MNM …. Powerslam by Dave to Mercury! Tag to Eddie; meanwhile Dave has the torture rack on Nitro .. Eddie hits the Tres Amigos on Mercury! Melina has brass knucks, though, and tosses them to Mercury …….. FROG SPLASH TO Melina Perez ….. she passed the knucks off to Mercury, however? ……….

…………

Yes, MERCURY has them, and he CLOCKS Guerrero! 1 ……..2 ………… ……… 3!!

Hmph, like Eddie wouldn’t approve of such.
