TKO CFO Addresses WWE Raw’s Future For Period Between USA & Netflix Deals
There is currently a period between the end of Raw’s deal with USA Network and its debut on Netflix, something TKO’s CFO addressed in the company’s earnings report. As reported, WWE Raw is set to debut on Netflix in January of 2025, three months after their agreement with USA Network expires in September. On TKO’s Q4 earnings call, Andrew Schleimer discussed the situation and noted that they intend to find a home for Raw during that period, though they don’t have anything in place at this time.
Schleimer said (per Fightful):
“We also intend to renew our license or find an alternate provider to carry Raw in the U.S. for the 90-day period from October 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024 before it moves to Netflix as described below. These domestic licenses together account for a very significant portion of our media segment revenues and profitability. No assurances can be provided as to the outcome of these negotiations and, if we are unable to renew existing agreements or find alternative streaming or distribution partners, our results of operations could be adversely impacted.”
He went on to add, “We believe Raw will be aired in the fourth quarter. We have no further information. We feel pretty positive about it.”
