Update On Peter Avalon Amid Injury Recovery

Peter Avalon has been out of action for quite a while due to injury, and a new report has an update on his AEW status and more. The AEW and ROH star has been out of action for over a year due to injuries, with his last match in December of 2024 for Party Hard Wrestling in Arizona. Avalon underwent shoulder surgery in April, and then had another surgery in October. The second surgery was to fix issues with his ACL and meniscus.

The latest Fightful Select Q&A featured a fan question about Avalon. The answer noted that as of now, Avalon is still part of the AEW roster but remains on the per-appearance basis that he has been on since 2022.

Peter Avalon’s last match for AEW was on the May 29th, 2024 episode of AEW Rampage, where he took a loss to Satnam Singh. He is last match in ROH came on October 26th of that same year as he teamed up with Preston Vance in a losing effort to BEEF and JD Drake.

The report notes that Avalon is expected to be out for a while still as he recovers from his knee surgery. No word on exactly when he may be back.
