Peter Avalon Gets Surgery Again, This Time for ACL and Meniscus

It’s been a rough year, injury-wise, for AEW and ROH star Peter Avalon. Earlier this year, he underwent shoulder surgery. This time, it was his knee causing the trouble, with PWInsider reporting that he just had ACL and meniscus surgery.
Avalon is known for a lengthy storyline losing streak, but this is some real-life bad luck as he’s gaining momentum. Though perhaps he’ll find it less painful than trying to get over an ironically underwritten librarian gimmick.
Though he definitely has an interest in working for WWE eventually (“That’s what got a lot of us into wrestling, you know what I mean?”), Avalon loves that every company is different. In a recent interview, he said, “WWE should have its own feel. AEW has its own gritty feel. WOW – Women of Wrestling has this classic ‘80s throwback feel. All these places should have their own feel. They shouldn’t be copycat clones of each other. That is how wrestling will grow.”
Unfortunately, all of them are on hold for him for right now as he recovers. But if there’s anyone who can handle a setback, it’s the man who once wrestled as Adam Jones in a squash match against the Bludgeon Brothers.
