VIOLENT PANDA Wrestling Review: Hard Knocks – The Chris Benoit Story DVD
Hard Knocks: The Chris Benoit Story DVD
This DVD came out some time in late 2004. It’s got 2 discs and all the toothy anger that you could possibly want in your DVD player. Let’s indulge ourselves:
First up is the main video, which is an hour and a half recap of Chris’ wrestling career including comments from Chris, his family and friends. Here’s a synopsis:
Chris was insanely quiet as a kid. He saw the Dynamite Kid wrestle at the age of 13 and that was it. Chris wanted to be just like Dynamite. They do not mention that Chris saw and attended all this in Stu Hart’s Stampede Wrestling promotion. WWE policy: No-sell anything you don’t own.. and lots of stuff you do.
Chris’ first match was him & Rick Patterson vs. Mike (HEMRE?) & Carl Moffat. His family didn’t really get it but they supported him. The match was very simple.
Benoit’s Stampede and indy career was going OK and he won a title belt pretty quickly. Bad News Allen offered Chris the chance to wrestle in Japan, but he’d have to live there for a year. Benoit jumped at the chance. He hated it in Japan at first. He didn’t get in the ring at all. He did dishes, cleaning and all sorts of scrub work at the New Japan Dojo. He went home for Christmas vacation, and after talking with Bad News, he realised that he had a shitty attitude. When he returned to Japan from vacation, Chris opened up and tried his best to let New Japan mold him into whatever they wanted.
They gave him the Pegasus Kid gimmick and he hated the mask. He eventually beat LIGAHHH! for the IWGP jr. heavy title and he says it meant alot, as he had watched tapes of Dynamite Kid win belts in Japan as well.
A while later, they asked him to get rid of the mask and become ‘Wild Pegasus’ Chris Benoit. By this time, he had grown to like the mask and was sad to be rid of it. He was on the losing end of a mask vs. mask match with… yes.. Jushin Liger.
Around this time is when Eddie Guerrero started doing tours with New Japan as Black Tiger (the present day Black Tiger is portrayed by former Havana Pitbull Rocky Romero). Eddie says that in their first match, Benoit legit knocked Eddie out with an enziguri kick. Eddie says that he, Benoit and Dean Malenko had a lot of fun times over in Japan together.
Jericho talks about getting to work with Benoit at the 1995 Super J Cup, and from here everyone on the DVD talk about the ’94 and ’95 J Cups as if they were one show. Jericho says that he and Benoit were known as the Calgary Kids.
Then came ECW. Benoit says that when he would work with the “genitalactic freak of nature” 2 Cold Scorpio, they would work real stiff because they had a high level of trust and respect. 2 Cold really was pretty under-rated.
Then we see the clip where Benoit gives Sabu some whacky suplex/toss which broke Sabu’s neck. ECW would go on to show that clip in super-slow motion for months to come. We see footage of Sabu hunched over at ringside with Heyman and 911, and we can clearly hear Sabu saying “He broke my fucking neck” over and over. Benoit says he felt terrible, and says that he’d much rather get hurt than hurt someone else. He says he went into the locker room and cried.
Chris kept calling Philadelphia from Canada to find out if Sabu was OK, and Heyman was real excited about re-creating Benoit as “The Crippler”. Benoit kept telling him that was nice, but he really wanted to knoe if Sabu going to be able to walk again. Heh heh. Sabu, obviously, recovered as fully as Sabu ever recovers from anything.
Benoit says that Eddie and Dean always ended up in the same company with him. He says it’s actually creepy, because it wasn’t planned. It just kept happening. Benoit credits Heyman with helping create the Benoit character that we know today.
Chris did not have a work visa, and was appearing in ECW illegally. Paul kept telling Chris that his dad (Heyman’s parents are lawyers) was taking care of it. But it never got handled, and Chris almost got busted at customs. So he called Heyman and told him he could not return to ECW until Paul took care of the work visa problem.
After that, Benoit had three WWF tryout matches on consecutive nights. One with Adam Bomb, one with Sparky Plugg (Bob Holly, heh heh) and Owen Hart. Benoit asked Vince if he’d still be able to work in Japan, as back then it was still the “big man” era in wrestling (back then??). Vince said no. And right at that time, WCW began doing a talent exchange with New Japan. So this led to Chris working for WCW instead.
We see a clip of Chris’ first WCW appearance, where announcer Tony Schiavone hypes up Benoit as he steps out from a limo. He ended up a member of the Four Horsemen along with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman. I wasn’t into wrestling back then, so this is all pretty cool to me. Benoit, Flair and Arn all complain that the Horsemen weren’t given a proper push.
Benoit says he genuinely did not get along with Kevin Sullivan, who was a wrestler and booker in WCW. So their feud was pretty real. It looks like they aren’t going to bring up Woman at all, but then they do, sort of. See, Benoit stole Sullivan’s real life wife, the valet known as “Woman”. Benoit sits here and talks about the feud like it’s just over Sullivan’s questionable booking skills..
But then Benoit says that he would rather not discuss the Woman situation until his kids from his previous marriage are old enough.
In 1999, when Benoit heard about Owen Hart dying he thought it was an angle(!). Benoit knew Owen pretty well, from training at the Hart family dungeon, to going on the road with him in Europe, Japan and Mexico. Bret Hart asked Benoit to wrestle him in an Owen tribute match.
In early 2000, Benoit says that he was fed up with WCW. He said that the lying backstage was ridiculous. It was almost like if somebody told you something, you knew the exact opposite was true. He said he let management know that he wanted out. So of course, WCW then proceeded to give him a world title match against Sid. He said he didn’t even want it, because at that point he didn’t even like wrestling. But then we see a clip of Benoit celebrating with the belt and he sure looks like he cares.
Benoit says that Kevin Sullivan really made things hard for him. So when his contract was up, he was thinking that he’d go back to Japan. He was hesitant to work with the WWE, worrying that it’d be just like WCW. But he ended up joining the WWE, and he realised it was a big happy family and was totally awesome and stuff. We see a clip from Wrestlemania 2000, where Benoit pins Jericho with the FLYING HEADBUTT (so he has won a match with that move!).
We see the hype video for the Benoit/Rock feud. In their match for the title, Benoit had “won” via SHENANIGANS but Foley had the match re-strated, and Rock ended up retaining. Benoit says he had about 15 messages on his cellphone that night from people congratulating Chris on winning, and then they all called back to apologize heh heh.
He talks about chain wrestling Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 17. And around that time, his neck was hurting bad. And a flying headbutt off a steel cage didn’t help. Chris says that it got to the point where he had no strength in his right side and he really couldn’t lift people off the ground for suplexes (they show Benoit giving the hefty Bubba Ray Dudley a suplex, heh heh). We see a clip from King of the Ring where Benoit gives Jericho a back suplex off the top and wow does Benoit come down hard on his back and neck.
Benoit ended up talking to Paul Orndorff, who waited to have surgery and now has atrophied limbs. Benoit decided to get the surgery and sat out a year.
Royal Rumble 2003, Benoit wrestled Kurt Angle and tapped out to the ankle lock. As he got up to leave, the crowd got on their feet and gave him a massive ovation. He says that really meant a lot to him.
As Rumble ’04 approached, there was a vignette involving Heyman and Benoit which we see in full. Heyman jabs a finger in Benoit’s chest and informs him that he’s going to be the #1 entrant into the Rumble, and Benoit grabs his hand and tells Heyman that he will not break his will. Pretty intense stuff.
In the rumble match, Benoit lasted all the way through. I think former 411 writer Scott Keith gave this match 5 stars and it really bothered me. Yeah, it was good, but come on. Just because your favorite guy wins doesn’t mean you can over-rate a match to that degree.
Anyway, Benoit won the Rumble by eliminating Show with a lame crawling choke into a toss. He says that he had severe cottonmouth, so when Austin hit the ring and gave him a beer fter Benoit won, he actually drank the whole beer – something he hadn’t ever done. I guess he’s not a beer drinker.
This led to Wrestlemania 20, where Benoit was in the three way against HBK and HHH for the title. He points out just how incredible and super-awesome HHH and HBK are and what caliber of performers they are.
When he won, he says 18 years worth of emotions all came out. His family came to the ring, and his dad says that he can’t even describe what it was like. Malenko talks about how he felt like he was part of it.
Bonus stuff:
IWGP jr. Heavyweight Title Match – Pegasus Kid vs. Jushin Liger(c):
– What the… They’ve totally messed with the crowd noise. They completely muted Liger’s theme song. That is a crime. Who doesn’t live for the DOOT DOOT DOOT DOOT – DOOT DOOT DOOT DOOT…? And they’ve overdubbed the polite japanese crowd reactions with rowdy Americans. Awful. Only in the beginning and end, though, thankfully.
– So I go back and pick an alternate commentary. Tazz & Cole? Oh hell no. I go with Benoit, Malenko & Grisham. Right off the bat, Grisham calls “JOO-shin” Liger “JUH-shin”, so you know he’s really done his homework. Thankfully, Benoit and Malenko quickly correct him.
– I should really turn the commentary off because they’re talking over the match, but I keep thinking they’re going to say something interesting. Grisham says that Japanese wrestling looks a lot like lucha libre… hoo boy. Benoit and Malenko again politely tell him he couldn’t be more wrong.
– Tons of submission stuff for about 10 minutes. Things heat up at the 15 minute mark, when Liger busts out a neat hoisting powerbomb that gets a two count.
– Liger follows up with an awesome senton where he somehow makes it look insanely painful. His full weight comes down on Benoit, rather than how Jeff Hardy barely grazes people with the back of his head.
– Benoit wins with a weird looking legdrop and suddenly WWE production filters in the roar of a 40,000 seat arena to cover for the actual tepid reaction he clearly received.
OK match. Hard to focus with the commentary.
Winner: Pegasus Kid
WCW Superbrawl 2/21/93 – 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Chris Benoit:
– Scorpio is just incredible here, wrestling circles around Benoit with tons of speed and aerial counters. They eventually go into a coveted greco roman knucklelock sequence and the crowd is in AWE.
– Scorpio is supposed to be the babyface but Benoit keeps getting cheered. Benoit tries to turn them by telling a kid to “shut up” and then doing a “I wipe my sweat on you” gesture in the fans’ general direction, but it doesn’t work too well.
– As we hit the 15 minute mark, Scorp hits a beautiful twisting 180 splash for two. He then goes for a hop-up onto Benoit’s shoulder, but he had done this earlier and this time Benoit turns it into a faceplant.. awesome.
– I guess this had a 20 minute time limit, and like in Japan, the announcer would call out when 10 minutes and 15 minutes had passed. He counts down the final 10 seconds, and Scorp wins it with a quick roll-up with only a few seconds left on the clock.
Good match! What’s crazy about Scorpio is that a lot of stuff he did back then STILL isn’t done today. He is very unique.
Winner: 2 Cold Scorpio
Super J tourney semi-finals – Black Tiger (Eddie Guerrero) vs. Wild Pegasus Chris Benoit:
– I reviewed this already in my J Cup review, so I’m just going to focus on the alternate commentary by Benoit, Malenko and JUH-shin GRU-sham.
– Benoit talks about the insane training schedule in the dojo. His first day in Japan he had to do all this crazy crap, like 750 HINDU SQUATS! Larry Sweeney would crap himself.
– Benoit ends up winning it by sort of armdragging a diving Tiger into a pin.
Winner: Chris Benoit
Super J Cup finals – Benoit vs. The GREAT-OOO SASUKE:
– Once again, with commentary by Benoit, Malenko and Todd Grisham.
– Malenko talks about how he lived in Tampa growing up and met lots of Japanese wrestlers through Carl Gotch. Malenko points out that the referee was actually his babysitter when he was 8 years old. Awesome.
– Malenko talks about Japanese wrestling today, and how it’s split into “6 or 7” companies and that it’s not what it used to be. He says it’s sad that it’s not what it was. Benoit says he thinks the scene is watered down.
Winner: Chris Benoit
ECW November to Remember Chris Benoit vs. Sabu:
– God.. the WWE plays Benoit’s current theme over his old ECW theme. Is it really that expensive to get the rights to a song? WWE also has made up a custom arabian theme for Sabu’s entrance as well.
– Benoit rolls out a couple moves, and 1 minute 26 seconds in, he dumps Sabu on his head and Sabu breaks his neck. Styles makes like he’s all hushed and really that’s it.
Winner: Nobody
ECW Double Tables 2/4/95 – Al Snow vs. Chris Benoit:
– This is mullett-era Al Snow, pre-head. At this time he was an up and comer, yet to become a bad trainer, the penultimate jobber and butt of a million mean-spirited Foley jokes.
OK Match.
Winner: Chris Benoit
Bonus disc:
WCW Nitro 1995 – Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero:
– They start out with a bunch of crazy quick stuff, culminating in an incredible crossbody by Eddie to the outside. He got velocity on that thing.
– Eddie sells the arm for awhile. Benoit gets a chop off that blows the crowd’s mind.
– The announcers: Eric Bishoff, Bobby Heenan and Mongo. Mongo gets off this line about rocks in your head and Mount Rushmore, wow that guy was awful.
– Then Benoit gets off the latest snap on a powerbomb ever. And the crowd just freaks out. I’ve never heard a crowd reaction like that before. It’s like everyone in the arena turns to each other and says “holy crap!”
– Eddie tries to rally but throws a punch with the bad arm. As he winces in pain, Benoit hits a tiger suplex with a bridge for the win.
Really good match! It’s fun to the listen to the announcers and the crowd just freak out at what they’re seeing.
Winner: Chris Benoit
WCW Great American Bash 6/19/96 Falls Count Anywhere – Benoit vs. “Taskmaster” Kevin Sullivan:
– Our announcers are Schiavone and Dusty the DWEEM. Sullivan no-sells a bunch of Benoit headbutts and brings him into the crowd and then into the concession area. They brawl into a men’s room, heh heh. And the people inside go “oh crap”.
– Sullivan wants to put Benoit’s head in the urinal, but Benoit repeatedly pulls away. And.. there’s a woman in this bathroom. And the Dream starts freaking out. “She just stopped off! She just got to get some relief, here, baybeh!” says Dusty, heh heh.
– They brawl back into the ring and Benoit props a table up on the turnbuckle to stand on. He suplexes Sullivan off it and the crowd pops huge. Benoit covers, 1, 2, 3. Crowd loved it.
A very good brawl. I generally hate ringside brawling, but this had very few dull moments.
Winner: Chris Benoit
WCW Great American Bash 6/14/98 – Best of Seven Finals Benoit vs. Booker T:
– Lots of chinlocks. The announcers hype a Booker leg injury big time, but Book does not sell the leg AT ALL throughout the entire match. Where’d they get this leg thing from?
– SPINEROONIE! Haven’t seen one of those in a looonnngggg time.
– There’s a big reversal sequence where Booker escapes the rolling germans but eats a dragon suplex and just barely kicks out in time.
– Crowd gets real into it as Book kicks out of a pin following the headbutt, and then hits a nasty missile dropkick for the win.
Boring until the final third. That crowd was pretty awesome.
Winner: Booker T
WCW Nitro 10/4/99 Owen Hart Tribute Match – Chris Benoit vs. Bret Hart:
– Boring stuff for the first 14 minutes. Then Benoit busts out a tombstone piledriver which wakes everyone up.
-Hart hits a big superplex and then goes to cinch in the sharpshooter.. but Benoit reaches up and turns it into a crossface! Awesome. Hart gets a rope break.
– Benoit calls for the headbutt and the crowd turns on him and boos. Bret kicks out of a pin following the headbutt, and the fans chant “Let’s go Bret”. Benoit stops and looks around at the arena, and the chant intensifies.
– Bret unleashes a piledriver and covers, but Benoit gets a leg on the rope. Considering that these two are supposed to be ring technicians, why are they going for so many moves near the ropes? I guess the story is that their emotion for Owen has clouded their ring savvy.
– Benoit goes for the crossface, but as he applies it Hart turns it into a sharpshooter. Another awesome counter. Benoit taps.
The final 7 minutes were all that were worth seeing in this one, IMO. Really, really dull match for the most part.
Winner: Bret Hart
WCW Souled Out 1/16/00 WCW World Title Match – Chris Benoit vs. Sid Vicious(c):
– Hah… this should be real interesting. How did SID end up with the WCW title??
– All the midcarders come out onto the ramp to watch the match. They do this kind of thing in TNA. Hmm. TNA… WCW 2000. HMMMM. Anyway, a big “SID” chant breaks out and Benoit’s gonna have his work cut out for him in this one.
– Benoit starts working over Sid’s leg, and eventually locks him in a figure four. Sid brings the PATHOS, and when the ref (Arn Anderson) asks Sid if he gives up, he yells “No! HELL NO!” and rolls it over. Benoit grabs the ropes.
– Sid’s kind of like the anti-Benoit. He’s gigantic and incredibly expressive. Sid’s breathing is so heavy and loud that it kind of sounds like a porno in the ring.
– Benoit works over the leg and puts everyone to sleep. Sid tries to hulk up and Schiavone says that “this is a lesson in ring psychology”.
– There’s a Sushi X sign in the crowd. I remember seeing those on wrestling shows back then. What was Sushi X?
– Benoit hits the flying headbutt, and Sid kicks out huge, sending Benoit flying. The crowd eats it up. Then Sid hits a massive chokeslam that Benoit makes look like death. Sid covers, but Benoit’s foot is under the ropes. The crowd hates that, and the WCW announcers defend it as a great call by the referee.
– Benoit immediately cinches in the crossface and Sid’s leg is WAY under the ropes. Sid taps and ref Arn calls for the bell.
– Benoit holds up the belt in celebration as the announcers no-sell Sid’s leg under the ropes. WWE has probably added lots of crowd noise to this, because we hear thunderous cheers but clearly the fans in the arena are just standing there. Some are booing, even. A piece of trash flies into the ring.
What a crappy way to win a title. OK, match, though. Sid is entertaining in an incredibly goofy way. People just plain like Sid.
Winner: Chris Benoit
Brian Pillman Memorial Show 5/25/00 – Chris Benoit vs. William Regal:
– This match was hailed as the match of the year by most people on the interweb in 2000. I’ve never seen it. Something tells me it’ll be really boring.
– This was an indy benefit show for the family of the late wrestler Brian Pillman. It was maybe the only time that WCW and WWF guys were allowed to work on the same card.
– This match is called by Tom Pritchard and Michael Cole…? OK then. Dr. Tom talks about how he shows this match to trainees, and says that while fans in the crowd chant “boring” in the beginning, by the end they’re on their feet. He says that in this one, Benoit and Regal do not allow the fans to dictate the pace. Huh…
– They do a greco roman knucklelock and Benoit hits some headbutts from there. Awesome. Benoit hits a sweet apron DDT.
– Dr. Tom goes on to say that these two are not playing to the crowd – they are trying to win the match at every opportunity. He tells students that they are not playing at wrestling when they get in the ring, but that they are wrestling. This sounds like the most contradictory advice a WWE agent could give. I think that you will find NO success in the WWE if you listen to Dr. Tom!
– Benoit unloads some stiff chops, then Regal comes back with some kicks to the chest. The crowd actually breaks into a “Regal” chant here. Regal follows up with a big dragon suplex OFF THE TOP!
– The crowd is crazy into this, but it’s ruined by Cole and Tom talking about what young students can learn from watching. Regal hits a brutal blue thunder bomb for two.
– Benoit hits the flying head butt and a suplex, then cinches in the crossface for the win.
Really good match! Try to find this without commentary though, as Cole and Tom drown out the goodness. This started out with mat work, but then it was just non stop fast action for 8 minutes or so. The match just accelerated all the way through to the finish.
But Tom showing this to trainees seems foolish. Does John Cena wrestle like this? Does HHH wrestle like this? Emulating this match will not bring you success in the WWE unless you ARE Chris Benoit. For every Benoit and Angle on the roster, there’s five Chris Masters. Plus, chances are that if you wrestle like that for years trying to get to the E, you’ll be broken down by the time you get a shot.
Winner: Chris Benoit
WWE Raw 6/11/01 Steel Cage Match – Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle:
– JR, Heyman and Austin are on commentary. Austin is hilarious. He says that getting suplexed ten times in a row by Benoit “hurt like a bastard”.
– The commentary is so entertaining that it almost overshadows the match. Benoit busts out an insane german off the middle of the top rope.
– This World Wildlife Fund agreement is so ridiculous. They have to blur out the WWF logo on EACH TURNBUCKLE!
– Man, Angle talks over spots so loud in the ring that you just can’t miss it.
– Then comes the legendary Anglesault OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE! Kurt did not hesitate at all! Holyyy..!
– Crowd breaks into an “Angle Sucks” chant, just as Benoit launches into an awesome sequence where despite Kurt’s counters, Benoit hits the rolling germans. NINE germans, crowd counts along. Benoit should do that more often.
– Benoit goes to escape, but Austin is down on the floor waiting with a chair. So Benoit turns and hits a flying headbutt from the top of the cage onto angle! This is stuff the WWE won’t even do on a PPV any more.
– Austin ends up slamming the cage door on Benoit’s head, and Angle climbs out to win.
AWESOME MATCH! I remember this being good, but now it seems even better. This is probably the best cage match I’ve ever seen. Wow. LITERALLY not a dull moment.
Winner: Kurt Angle
WWE Royal Rumble 1/19/03 WWE Title Match – Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle(c):
– Benoit lands an apron DDT on Angle that bloodies his nose around the 8 minute mark.
– At 15:00, Benoit applies the crossface. Angle grabs the ropes, Benoit drags him into the center of the ring.. with an ankle lock! Angle counters into an ankle lock of his own – which Benoit counters into a crossface!
– It’s just awesome from there. A flipping throw german, a Benoit headbutt that goes clear across the ring, an electric chair drop into the turnbuckle, culminating in an absolutely insane series of finisher reversals which eventually leads to Chris Benoit tapping to a grapevined ankle lock.
The second half of this match is pretty much as good as wrestling gets. Got to be one of the best wrestling matches of the decade.
Winner: Kurt Angle
Wrestlemania XX 3/14/04 World Title Match – Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Micheals vs. HHH(c):
– The Madison Square Garden crowd, the most die-hard WWE wrestling fans out there, break into a big “Let’s go Benoit” chant before the opening bell.
– In this decade, we’ve really seen a lot of very high profile three way matches. From ROH’s Low Ki vs. Chris Daniels vs. American Dragon, to TNA’s Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles vs. Chris Daniels to this match, it really seems like this has ended up being the match type of the.. ’00’s.
– Very good, interesting action right from the start. At around the 15 minute mark, HBK goes for a german on Benoit and gets booed. Benoit switches into a german and the crowd cheers.
– Later, HBK does some prancing to indicate BABYFACE FIRE~! But he gets more boos than cheers as he lands a superkick on HHH. Benoit breaks up the pin.
– Benoit catapults HBK into the ringpost and there’s your notorious Wrestlemania 20 ring post bladejob. On closer examination, you can see HBK cut before being launched, and as he goes up, he tosses the blade aside. Really clever, really well done. And he immediately starts bleeding buckets.
– HBK and HHH end up suplexing Benoit though a super-gimmicked ringside announce table (at which no announcers sit.. hmmm…). Then HBK wants HHH one on one in the ring and the crowd does not bite on this “drama”.
– JR sounds serious when he says “I said it three times already, we need EMTs out here for Benoit!” who is still lying in the wreckage of the announce table.
– “Let’s go Benoit” chant as HHH and HBK go at it. HHH hits the pedigree, and the crowd looks in Benoit’s direction. Benoit slides in and breaks up the pin. HHH is now bloody.
– Benoit teased the sharpshooter multiple times earlier, and now when he cinches it in on HHH the crowd is really into it. HHH is about to tap as HBK charges in with a nasty superkick on Benoit to break it up.
– Benoit kicks out of HBK’s pin following the superkick. HBK goes for another, but Benoit dodges and dumps him out of the ring. HHH waits for Benoit to turn around, and the whole crowd groans loudly. Pedigree??? No, Benoit twists into a crossface! The crowd freaks out. HHH holds on for a ridiculous 60 seconds, but does tap out.
Just a very good match from start to finish. The whole thing was entertaining.
Winner: Chris Benoit
There’s some other bonus stuff. We see a clip of Benoit’s neck surgery, where the doctor put a freaking titanium plate into his SPINE.
There’s a clip where Benoit explains that Malenko taught him the crossface. Kind of kayfabe-y.
Then we see a clip of Benoit posing in a meat locker for a Raw cover shoot.
The 411: I'd definitely recommend this DVD to anyone who is a wrestling fan. Even if you're like me and don't find Benoit that exciting, there's still tons of great stuff. The main feature is pretty deep and interesting, and the bonus matches are really, really, good.
But even despite all that, you still won't feel like Benoit got that over with you. You either like the guy or you don't, I guess.
