Women’s Title #1 Contenders Match Ends In Chaos On WWE NXT

We do not have a challenger for the NXT Women’s Title following the conclusion of this week’s WWE NXT, with the main event ending without a definitive winner. Tuesday night’s episode was headlined by Kendal Grey facing off with Lola Vice in a #1 contenders match to determine who will challenge Jayne for the title at NXT Stand & Deliver. The match ended in confusion when, after a back and forth bout, we got a definitively non-definitive finish.
The final moments saw Vice lock a Guillotine in on Grey, who was able to get to her feet. She then hit a Northern Lights Suplex and got the pinfall victory. At the same time though, Grey tapped out and a second referee came down to dispute the finish. As the two argued, Shawn Michaels came down to the ring to consult on the matter. The show ended with no call being made.
WWE has yet to address the situation on social media. Jayne was scheduled to defend the title against the winner at Saturday’s show, which takes place from The Factory at the District in St. Louis, Missouri and airs live on YouTube in the US and Netflix internationally.
