Wren Sinclair is the new WWE Women’s Speed Champion, winning the title from Fallon Henley on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. Sinclair challenged Henley for the title on Tuesday’s show in a match contested under Speed time limit rules of five minutes. Sinclair controlled the early goings until Henley sent her to the floor, but she quickly recovered and battled back.
The finish of the match came as Henley, who was selling a shoulder injury from being taken out by Zaria during the NXT Women’s Championship match, went for a suplex but her shoulder gave out. The two traded roll-ups before Sinclair locked in the Final Wrench and Henley tapped out. You can see highlights from the match below.
The victory marks Sinclair’s first title reign in WWE. Meanwhile, Henley’s WWE Women’s Speed Championship reign ends at 112 days. She won the title at NXT Gold Rush night two, when she defeated Zaria who had been defending the title on an injured Sol Ruca’s behalf.
