WWE’s decision to announce WrestleMania 43 weekend plans in the United States in advance may have been influenced by the internal expectation that AEW would run a major event in the country during the same weekend. The date and venue for the show are yet to be confirmed.
Although WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, WWE has already confirmed several fan events across the United States. In New York City, the company will host a WrestleMania watch party at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden. The same venue will also host NXT Stand & Deliver and AAA Eternal Glory during the weekend.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, some WWE officials are expecting Tony Khan and AEW to have a “significant presence” in the United States during WrestleMania 43 weekend in April 2027.
The report added that according to a WWE source, the expectation that AEW will run a show in the United States during WrestleMania weekend was one of the reasons WWE went ahead with announcing its U.S. plans almost nine months in advance.
At this stage, AEW has not announced any events for WrestleMania 43 weekend. However, there have been reports that the idea is being discussed.
