Randy Orton is on another in-ring hiatus, but WWE went ahead and filed a trademark for his signature move. Earlier this week, WWE filed a trademark application for “RKO” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The trademark was filed on July 6 (h/t Fightful).
The trademark filing had the following description on the USPTO’s website: “Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network.”
Orton has not appeared since losing to Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 42: Saturday. It’s rumored he’s dealing with back issues.
