As noted previously, WWE recently filed an application to trademark “Club WWE.” The company filed an application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for the same on Friday, March 27.
While the exact nature of the project has yet to be disclosed by the promotion, there have been multiple visual references to the branding on weekly programming, including a mysterious QR code that has been popping up on RAW and SmackDown. A new QR code popped up this past Friday night on SmackDown. It directed to a webpage that contained a new teaser for “Club WWE.” The teaser showcased several main roster superstars, such as Chelsea Green, Kit Wilson, Stephanie Vaquer, and more.
During the latest “Fightful Select Answers Q&A,” a fan asked Sean Ross Sapp if he had any idea about the purpose of “Club WWE.” While Sapp admitted that he has “no clue of what it is,” he revealed that he has received “little teasers” of information from WWE sources. According to him, several creative minds are involved in this project, and there’s “some internal excitement” about it.
