WWE Announces New Signings During Mae Young Classic: Kacy Catanzaro and Shadia Bseiso

– During today’s broadcast of the initial episodes of the Mae Young Classic on the WWE Network, WWE confirmed the signings of Kacy Catanzaro and Shadia Bseiso to the company.

Kacy Catanzaro was reportedly backstage at the NXT Tapings in Orlando last July. She participated in workouts alongside WWE recruits in the beginning of this year in a private tryout as she was considering WWE, she also worked out with Performance Center coach Norman Smiley. Catanzaro, age 26, was a Division I gymnast before turning to obstacle course racing. She has twice made Sports Illustrated’s “Fittest 50” list of the world’s top female athletes, and came to fame in 2014 when she became the first woman to complete American Ninja Warrior’s city finals course, defeating the warped wall.

Bseiso is a TV personality and a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. She recently tried out for WWE in Dubai. She’s fluent in both English and Arabic (via WrestlingInc.com).
