WWE Smackdown Rating Slips, Viewership Slightly Down

– This week’s episode of Smackdown saw minor drops in the demographic ratings and viewership. Tuesday’s episode brought in a 0.71 in the 18 – 49 demo and 2.481 million viewers. Those numbers were down 7% and about 0.5% from last week’s 0.76 demo rating and 2.493 million. The demo rating was the worst since the Halloween episode had a 0.65, and the lowest non-holiday episodes since the June 13th episode’s 0.63. Meanwhile, the viewership was the worst non-holiday viewership since the October 17th episode had 2.32 million.
Smackdown ranked #6 among cable originals for the night, per Showbuzz Daily, on an evening dominated by cable news coverage of the Alabama special Senate election. CNN won the night with Anderson Cooper Live at 10:00 PM with a 0.96 demo rating and 3.493 million viewers.
