New advance ticket sales figures have been reported for WWE SummerSlam and Saturday Night’s Main Event, offering an updated look at how the company’s biggest upcoming U.S. events are performing ahead of show week.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, SummerSlam had distributed 23,672 tickets for Night 1 and 23,227 for Night 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium before WWE launched a 25 percent ticket sale on July 1.
The report claimed that those sales “will do fine” for a two-night stadium event. However, it also noted that the company might “have to be disappointed” since ticket sales are “clearly being well past the peak” and that WWE likely hoped for stronger demand, particularly given the premium ticket prices.
At the time of the report, the lowest available secondary-market ticket for Saturday’s SummerSlam card was approximately $92, while Sunday’s entry price was around $86.
The newsletter noted that as surprising because Sunday’s show is expected to feature the bigger marquee main event, yet Saturday currently has higher resale demand and is ahead in ticket sales.
Elsewhere, Saturday Night’s Main Event continues to add tickets ahead of its July 18 return to Madison Square Garden, with 7,519 tickets distributed. The get-in price is $165, considerably higher than SummerSlam’s current entry prices.
The newsletter also reported the sales figures of WWE’s recent Night of Champions premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. According to the report, Night of Champions drew a sellout crowd of approximately 18,000 fans at Kingdom Arena.
