TNA News: Suicide on Hold, Karen Angle and More

October 20, 2008 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– The Suicide character has now officially been put on hold due to Frankie Kazarian having surgery to repair his triceps. Due to the surgery he will likely be out until early 2009. The character was originally going to be debuting either with a run-in at Bound for Glory or shortly after.

– The door is open for Karen Angle to return to the company at some point, but as for now she is done. With the couple divorcing and their personal problems becoming public, the call was made to release her and keep Kurt, who is far more valuable. Kurt never asked the company to release her, and it was felt that it would make the work environment better if she wasn’t around. Also there really wasn’t anything they could come up with for her to do, as the Karen’s Angle segments were considered by most as, “bad TV.”

– When promoting Bound for Glory, Mick Foley said in a radio interview that he had mixed feelings at first about going to TNA, but now believes it was the right move and also says that he couldn’t be happier.
