Bryan Barberena Had No Problem Taking Northcutt Fight on Short Notice

Bryan Barberena spoke last night following his upset win over Sage Northcutt at UFC on FOX 18. Check out the highlights:

On taking the fight on short notice: “I didn’t really feel like I was pushed into a corner. I felt fine with the fight, taking it on eight days’ notice. I was training for a fight that was coming up, so even before that I was in the gym getting ready. I knew with the short notice, it wouldn’t be a factor.”

On tapping Northcutt out: “I was ready to keep going and doing what I was doing, anyway. I felt I had a tight bite on the choke, and it was only getting tighter. I think I could tap anyone I get in that position if I have the right bite on it.”
