Mike Pyle Isn’t Ready For the End of His Career Yet

February 7, 2016 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Mike Pyle spoke with MMAjunkie following his win last night at UFC Fight Night 82. Check out some highlights:

On his eventual retirement: “I think I’ve still got it. This old dog’s still got some fight. The day that I get out of bed and I just can’t perform in the gym, and I don’t feel confident, I will not step into the octagon and risk anything. I’m not going to go out looking like an old man.”

On his win: “It felt great. It was a good win for me. I felt like it was a good performance, at least the ending of it.”

On his next fight: “Obviously, I love this sport. I love doing what I do because I’ve been doing it so long, and I come to win. I just love what I do, and if I get to fight whomever it is next, I’m glad that I get to do what I like to do as a living and go to the gym each day and provide for my family. This is what I’ve always wanted to do and that’s what I’m still doing. I’m not going to give it up until I can’t (do it). I am 40. I’m not stupid. Things will come to an end. That’s just the way it is, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. But when that day comes, everybody will know it.”
