– The reason that the crowd was so sparse during the WWE Summerslam kickoff show was because the Barclays Center didn’t open the doors until after the Kickoff show was on the air. The venue’s security was tight, with only some doors opened while the Barclays staff used a system where they were only letting 20-30 fans into each door to the lobby. They would then stop the flow and wait for the majority of those fans to get through security. They were also requiring fans to show tickets before they could even get into the doors. WWE showed shots of the huge crowd outside the building throughout the kickoff show, waiting to get in.

– Shane McMahon’s sons were sitting in the first row for the Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles match, wearing identical referee shirts like the one Shane wore.

– Dani Garcia, the head of Seven Bucks Productions, was at the show with her and The Rock’s daughter. She is the Rock’s ex-wife, but they remain business partners.

– Seth Green and actor Macauly Culkin were in attendance.

– Dana Warrior and her daughters were also in attendance.
