Adam Wieczorek Discusses His Omoplata Submission Win at UFC on FOX 29

Speaking to reporters in a media scrum after UFC on FOX 29 (via MMAjunkie), UFC fighter Adam Wieczorek discussed picking up his second UFC win over Arjan Bhullar at the event. Wieczorek won with an omoplata submission.

Wieczorek on how he didn’t practice that type of hold: “Honestly I haven’t practiced that at all. That was just kind of instantaneous because of my background with Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Absolutely (I was surprised).”

Wieczorek on what’s next for him after the impressive win: “I don’t have any names in mind, but definitely I want to show up with the best performance I can. I’m going to be solid training and I’m still young, so hopefully I’m going to show my performance next fight.”
