One of the major critiques for last night’s UFC 247 event was the local judging. UFC President Dana White also addressed some of the questionable judging scorecards during the post-fight press conference. During the preliminary fight portion of the event, broadcasters Joe Rogan and Dominick Cruz called out a judge for apparently not watching and paying attention to the bout between Lauren Murphy and Andrea Lee. You can check out a clip from the broadcast that surfaced on Twitter below.

Joe Rogan stated during the fight, “We’re looking at a judge who’s literally not watching the fight. This is insane.” Former UFC bantamweight champion Cruz added, “He’s not even watching the fight at all. Judges don’t even watch. They’re looking down at the floor. Insane. It’s gonna be tough for the fighters tonight to figure out how to win a decision.”

Rogan continued, “This is crazy. He’s still not watching the fight.” Ultimately, Murphy would go on to win a Split Decision off scores of 28–29, 29–28, 30–27 for the fight.

Others have called into question the scores for the main event light heavyweight title fight at UFC 247. Jon Jones won a unanimous decision off scores of 48-47, 48-47, and 49-46. The 49-46 card is the one that people are taking issue with.

UFC 247 was held last night at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The main card was broadcast live on pay-per-view via ESPN+. You can read 411’s live results for the event RIGHT HERE.
