Magik Fights Back in The New Mutants Clip, New TV Spot Released

The New Mutants is finally hitting seeing the light of day at the end of the month, and a new clip and TV spot are online for it. You can see the clip and spot below, the former of which features the young mutants behind hunted down by the Demon Bear with Dani (Blu Hunt) out of commission which leads to Ilyana (Anya Taylor-Joy) stepping up to fight back. The latter features the cast explaining the premise of the film in 60 seconds.

The film, which has famously had multiple delays, arrives on August 28th and stars Maisie Williams, Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Henry Zaga and Hunt. The Josh Boone-directed horror film is described as follows:

Rahne Sinclair (Williams), Illyana Rasputin (Taylor-Joy), Sam Guthrie (Heaton) and Roberto da Costa (Zaga) are four young mutants being held in an isolated hospital for psychiatric monitoring. Dr. Cecilia Reyes (Braga), believing the teenagers are a danger both to themselves and to society as a whole, keeps a close eye on them as she struggles to teach them how to rein in their mutant abili􀆟 es. When newcomer Danielle “Dani” Moonstar (Hunt) joins the other patients in the facility, strange occurrences begin to take place. The hospital’s patients are plagued by hallucinations and flashbacks, and their new mutant abilities—and their friendships—will be tested as they battle to try to make it out alive.
