– On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on the bizarre story of Michael Elgin being arrested in Japan over alleged theft. As a result, he was forced to miss a recent Pro Wrestling NOAH booking on Sunday. It was later alleged he was arrested for stealing protein powder.
According to Meltzer, there was some sort of incident Elgin was involved with at the gym leading to him being questioned by authorities. Elgin claimed he was not arrested or deported over the situation. Meltzer said while he can’t say with 100% certainty the incident did not involve theft or protein powder, he’s fairly sure that was not the case.
Meltzer also reported that police came to the scene, and that Michael Elgin was detained and let go for a time. As a result, ELgin was forced to miss his NOAH booking. Additionally, Meltzer noted that Elgin was not arrested or charged. Whatever it is that took place at the gym is reportedly being “kept quiet.’
