FX Network Head Gives Update On Alien Series, Begins Shooting Next Year
Fans have an update on FX’s upcoming Alien series, courtesy of network chief John Landgraf. Landgraf spoke with Deadline and gave an update on the Noah Hawley-created series based on the science fiction horror franchise.
According to Landgraf, Hawley has delivered all the scripts for the series. Shooting is scheduled for next year on the show, which will be the first live-action story for the franchise set on Earth and will take place before the events of the TV show. The series will not feature Sigourney Weaver’s character of Ripley, nor any other established characters from the franchise.
The series is said to “blend” the original film’s horror and the action of Aliens. Ridley Scott is producing the series through his Scott Free banner.
