411’s WWE The SmackDown LowDown Report: Rey Mysterio Cleared To Return, Hit Row Ready For The Usos, More

-Megan Morant is in the back and welcomes us to the show. Our lineup today: Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler Hit Row, and Rey Mysterio.

-Show opening!

-Jackie Redmond welcomes us to WWE HQ and she is joined by Matt Camp. They get right to the biggest story coming out of SmackDown: John Cena will return to team with Kevin Owens to take on Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn on Dec 30th SmackDown. Nice that they referenced Cena’s streak of having a 1 match a year it’s cool they found a way to keep that alive.

-Uncle Howdy debuts as he is not an alter ego of Bray Wyatt.

-GUNTHER successfully defended his IC Title against Ricochet in a BANGER!

-To the video as Damage CTRL were able to defended their Tag Titles against Liv and Teegan. A woman in a black hood sticks Teegan with a super kick during the match and we find it was Xia Li.

-Next it was announced there will be a gauntlet match to determine the next challenger for Ronda Rousey. To the video as Ronda and Shayna attack Raquel. Camp and Jackie agree that they see this as Ronda being threatened by Raquel.

-Ronda and Shayna are backstage with Megan. They run down the field in the gauntlet match and aren’t worried at all. It doesn’t matter who wins and as far as Raquel she started it. They take their leave.

-Jackie and Camp discuss!

-Hit Row and Rey Mysterio still to come!

-Peacock commercials!

-This Monday: Lumis vs. Miz in a ladder match for all the money! Becky Lynch vs. Bayley!

-To the video as we see the close of GUNTHER/Ricochet. They had the place rocking and believing a title change could happen, but then GUNTHER hit another gear and Ricochet was toast. Strowman saves Ricochet from Imperium after the match.

-Jackie and Camp discuss GUNTHER/Ricochet. It was great! Next week on SmackDown Ricochet/Strowman take on Vinci and Kaiser in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight.

-To the video as we see highlights from the Triple Threat between Hit Row, The Viking Raiders, and LDF. Hit Row get the win and will face The Usos next week for The Tag Titles.

-Hit Row is backstage with Megan and she congratulates them on their win. Top Dollah immediately mentions his leg wasn’t 100% and he doesn’t care how he feels next week, he is taking advantage of this opportunity. Adonis says Hit Row isn’t next, they are now and if you didn’t know, now you know.

-Jackie wonders if Hit Row is ready for The Usos. Camp hopes as this is the biggest step up they will ever have.

-Rey Mysterio is next!

-Peacock commercials!

-We are back with Rey Mysterio standing by with Megan Morant. Rey has been cleared from injury and he says this is a personal time for him. It is always tough to come back from injury and he has dealt with his son breaking his heart. Now he has to deal with Kross. Los Lotharios interrupt and let Rey know he is past his prime. They are the future and are on the sideline so Rey can feed his ego. They know Rey has embarrassed his son. Rey throws out a challenge and wants to see one of them in the ring next week. That’s a solid way for Rey to come back as I am sure he is comfortable with either guy.

-Jackie and Camp discuss. Camp loved seeing Humberto and Angel step up and we are told it will be Rey vs. Angel next week. Sweet! That should be fun!

-To the video as The Bloodline close the show and Sami slips as he mentions he is KO’s only friend. He meant he was his only friend and then John Cena interrupts on the Tron. He got a text from KO to be his partner on SmackDown in Tampa on Dec 30th. So, as mentioned, it’s Cena/KO vs. Zayn/Reigns! That should draw some people! Roman laughing at Cena is great!

-Camp is all about the history as Cena faced Zayn in his WWE debut and the same with Kevin Owens. It all goes down in two weeks as we know at this point next week is basically a throw away show because of the Christmas weekend.

-Jackie wraps things up and we are out this week! Thanks for reading!
