More On Bryan Danielson Giving Fines In AEW Over Social Media Posts
A new report has some additional detail on Bryan Danielson being responsible for fines for AEW talents who make egegrious social media posts. As reported yesterday, there were conflicting reports on Danielson giving out fines for posts that went over the line, with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp noting that at least two people had been fined in such a matter while F4W Online’s Bryan Alvarez said people he asked hadn’t heard anything about such fines happening.
Fightful Select has some additional detail on what they know on the matter, noting that Danielson is “at least partially responsible” for handing out fines in regard to social media conduct the past several weeks and that most of the conduct has to do with trying to make AEW look as professional as possible as a company. It was noted that the conduct can extend to retweets and likes, and that there’s no word on the fines being particularly common.
Danielson is considered to be a locker room leader in AEW and has been for some time; the report notes that he led meetings after AEW All In talking about the process and decision making that went into CM Punk’s firing from the company. Danielson also spoke at a meeting earlier this year about how talent should conduct themselves during interviews, and was one of those who spoke during the talent meeting after AEW All Out 2022. He is part of the AEW disciplinary committee that, among other things, ultimately recommended Punk’s release.
On a semi-related note, the report notes that AEW officials were very pleased with Danielson’s match against Daniel Garcia for tonight’s AEW Rampage.
