Karrion Kross drew headlines with the interview he did over WrestleMania weekend, and he spoke about it in his new documentary. As noted, Kross released part two of his The Killer documentary on Sunday which saw him confirm that his WWE contract was ending that day. During the video he talked about the WrestleMania after-show interview that was a worked shoot and generated a lot of attention for him and the company. You can see some highlights below:
On his WrestleMania weekend interview: “Everybody wanted to know, ‘Who’s the guy in the truck? The guy in the suit and tie in the truck?’ Here’s the inside scoop: nobody. There was no f**king truck. It was shot on a stationary camera, which is why I said ‘the guy in the truck’ so no one would feel personally attacked. But the guy in the suit and tie in the truck is a metaphor for the corporate figure that comes into an art sector and sterilizes art for the sake of viewership and monetization. It could be f**king anybody. And it’s not wrestling-specific. It’s in all different lanes of entertainment, television, music. We have to find a common ground of preserving the art when we’re going to try to monetize it. And that’s — man, I wanted to say so much in what I did and it meant so much on so many other different levels, and that’s what that moment was supposed to be.”
On people thinking he was talking about Triple H: “A lot of people thought like I was talking about Hunter. Hunter doesn’t work in the truck, nor would I ever talk to him like that. He was a wrestler, you know what I mean? Like, I was blown away that people drew a conclusion. they drew some sort of context that it was him. It was a metaphor, you know, and that’s basically what happened. And following that, whoa — a lot of people were pissed.”
