Dave Meltzer Addresses WWE Crown Jewel’s Status Amid Relocation Speculation

Dave Meltzer believes WWE Crown Jewel will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 7 unless a major security incident forces the company to reconsider.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said WWE and TKO appear committed to holding the premium live event at Riyadh Season Stadium. His latest assessment suggests relocation is unlikely unless something disastrous happens in the coming days. (via Wrestling Inc)
“Unless something happens, catastrophic, between now and next Tuesday, they’re going,” he explained.
He noted that people involved with the Canelo Álvarez boxing card had reported strong security and no incidents. Many attendees reportedly flew to Bahrain, then drove five hours to Riyadh.
When a listener asked if TKO executives might attend Crown Jewel, Meltzer said Nick Khan might travel to Saudi Arabia with WWE. However, he does not expect TKO CEO Ari Emanuel or members of the Board of Directors to attend.
“Ari is the one making the choice and he’s probably too busy to go, unless he’s got some meetings there. I doubt he would go. I mean, I don’t know if Nick would go or not and it’s immaterial, it’s not his choice.”
Emanuel previously addressed the situation, confirming that the company is monitoring conditions daily. He said “nothing’s been canceled” and that WWE has a team assessing where it can move the show if it gets canceled.
