Hey kids! Steve Cook here with you for this year’s edition of Heatwave! We’ve got three championship matches and two triple threat matches coming up tonight, along with all sorts of good times & shenanigans. Sounds peachy to me!

Lowell, Massachusetts hosts tonight’s show! Je’Von Evans is WALKING! Oba Femi is WALKING! The Canadian Contingent is WALKING, as are their opponents tonight. Jordynne Grace & Blake Monroe are WALKING.

NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender Triple Threat Match: Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice: Kelani’s family is here tonight, so I’m putting my money elsewhere. Lola comes out and makes me think of a place I’d like to p-um, anyway here’s the bell! Jaida is sent outside, Lola & Kelani go at it. Jaida back in, slams Vice and then Jordan. Noggin knocker! Jaida places Kelani on the middle turnbuckle and smacks her. Lola comes over and gets some smacks too. She sits them to the mat! That was definitely something! Samoan drop on Vice, cover gets two. Kelani with a springboard legdrop to Vice for two. Jaida drags Kelani outside, Kelani goes for a rana, Jaida blocks but eventually gets ranaed on the floor. Vice eats a sit-out DDT for two. Kelani goes up top, Jaida knocks her off. Vice catches Jaida in a triangle choke. Parker reverses and mounts Vice, Kelani comes off the top rope and breaks it up! Kelani & Jaida go to the apron, Kelani gets flipped back in and superkicks Jaida to the floor. Kelani hits a corkscrew plancha on Vice & Parker! Splits Stunner on Vice gets two, Kelani turns her into a single leg crab. Vice rolls Lelani into a dragon sleeper. Kelani flips out, Jaida comes back in and Lola kicks the heck out of both of them. Lola ass smashes both in the corner several times! Lola back suplexes Jaida for two. Lola with a dragon sleeper on Kelani, Jaida comes off the top rope and covers both for two counts. Jaida tosses Lola outside, then hits the spinebuster on Kelani for two. Jaida rams Kelani’s head into the turnbuckles, then punches her down. Kelani is placed up top. Jaida joins her up there, then Lola sets up the Tower of Doom! All three punch away at each other on their knees, then their feet. Parker back elbows Lola down. Kelani knocks Jaida down, but Jaida blocks her move! Jaida gourdbusts Kelani onto Lola! Kelani drops Lola and goes up top, 450 is blocked and the two end up trading submissions. Jaida breaks it up with a headbutt. Jaida gets a shot on Kelani, but Lola rolls her up for three!

Tatum Paxley is re-assured by the Culling that they aren’t mad at her for losing last week. Izzi Dame establishes a team with Tatum, who uses one of my old catchphrases.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Hank Walker & Tank Ledger (c) vs. DarkState: After some drama it’s Osiris & Dion Lennox representing DarkState in the match. Hank & Tank work Lennox over in the corner, a flying shoulder tackle get two. Lennox hits a forearm and tags Osiris. Osiris slams Tank, things break down in Tulsa so to speak and all the DarkState people end up on the floor. Tope suicidas by Hank & Tank! Bulldog on Lennox, Hank goes up top but gets crotched. Osiris knocks Hank to the floor. Lennox punches away while mounting Hank on the steps. Osiris keeps working Hank over, but Hank finally sneaks away. Osiris blocks the tag but Hank has a headlock for him. Powerslam by Osiris gets two. Lennox with a big clothesline before tagging in. Lennox hits a couple of shots before hitting the chinlock. Hank ends up tagging Tank on an Irish whip, and Tank goes to town. The Belly Boy cartwheels and hits a crossbody on DarkState. Tank knocks Sugar off the apron. Bubba Bomb by Tank gets two. Hank gets kicked and sent into the ringpost on the outside. Lennox rolls up Tank for two. Spinebuster, then an H Bomb gets two! Tank gets worked over in the corner while Hank is still out on the floor. Osiris & Lennox get out smarted by Tank in the corner, which results in a Swanton on both! The other DarkState members get taken out on the outside, Hank with a Boss Man Slam onto Lennox, then a dive onto everyone else! Hank & Tank go for their finisher, but the other two DarkStaters break it up! A DarkState Doomsday Device on Hank ends the match and HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE IN LOWELL!

Lexis King tells Ava that he was doing Myles Bourne a favor last week. Ava wants to suspend him, but Myles doesn’t want that. Ava books the match as a blindfold match considering the circumstances.
Lola Vice will get her title shot at No Mercy on September 27.
TNA Knockouts Championship Triple Threat Match: Jacy Jayne (c) (w/Fatal Influence) vs. Masha Slamovich vs. Ash by Elegance (w/The Elegance Brand): The TNA President is shown applauding the WWE wrestler holding their title hostage. Some nearfalls early on. Ash gets knocked off the apron. Jacy hits a neckbreaker on Masha, then flips onto Ash on the floor. Fatal Influence joins in the celebration until Masha dives on all of them. Masha kicks Ash down for two. Jacy trips Masha, then kicks her to the floor. Jacy ranas Ash and splashes her in the corner. Flying forearms by Jacy get two. Senton by Jacy on Ash! Masha back in, takes Ash down for two. The Concierge distracts Masha, Jacy almost wins as result. Flapjack then a blockbuster by Ash get two. Ash hits a handspring smash into the corner, then sit-out powerbombs Jacy for two. Masha with some kicks to Ash, Jacy knocks her down. Masha with a missile dropkick on Jacy. Masha with a near-fall on Jacy. Jacy kicks her into the corner, then cannonballs onto Masha & Ash. Another on Masha misses, and Masha DVDs Jacy onto Ash in the corner. Covers on Jacy & Ash get two. Jacy & Masha trade shots. Slaps! Masha with a kick, another misses, Masha ends up out on the apron. Jacy hits the Ego Trip for two. Ash tosses Jacy outside, misses a second rope moonsault on Masha. Jacy dives onto Ash and gets a two count. Jacy places Masha up top, goes for a superplex. Masha blocks for a bit, but Jacy goes back up top! Rana off the top! Jacy covers and Ash breaks up with a Meteora. Jacy gets her foot on the rope. Vic alleges that Fatal Influence placed her foot there, but I didn’t see that on my feed. Fallon & Jasmyn end up getting into it and getting ejected. Ash hits a big dive onto both on the outside, covers Masha back in the ring for two. Ash blocks a Masha kick and strikes her down. Tornado DDT by Ash, then a moonsault on Masha! Jacy takes Ash out, then covers Masha for two. Masha rolls Jacy up for two. Jacy hits the rolling elbow on Masha, but the Elegance sisters pull her out of the ring! Ash hits a swanton, gets the three count and HISTORY IS MADE IN LOWELL!

Ricky Saints & Je’Von Evans discuss Je’Von’s match with Oba Femi tonight. Saints gives him a pep talk about how Je’Von’s the future of NXT, but Ricky’s going to be the top contender after tonight.
Jordynne Grace vs. Blake Monroe: I was going to go on this big tirade about this whole feud, basically about people complaining that Blake & Jordynne’s friendship wasn’t long enough to care about, and my realization that my friendships usually don’t last as long as that one did. Anyway, there was more of that but then I watched Blake make her entrance and forgot whatever the hell I was thinking about. Blake with a big slap to start things, Jordynne chases her outside. Blake hides behind the announcers, then Jordynne hits the Thesz Press in the ring. She punches away and slaps Blake. Tiltawhirl slam by Jordynne, then a modified Fisherman’s overhead throw. Blake ends up outside and Jordynne hits a Last Call on the floor. Grace kips up. Grace lifts Blake up, walks up to the steps, but Blake slips out and drops Grace across the steps. Blake punches away on Jordynne. Blake arm wrings Jordynne down for two. Basement dropkick by Monroe. She rams Grace’s shoulder into the ringpost. Blake locks in a full nelson and rotates into an armbar on Grace, Grace rolls over to get a nearfall, but Blake keeps targeting her knee. Grace elbows Monroe in the corner. Blake hits a sling blade for two. Blake locks in an octopus type move, but Jordynne powers up and hits a hot shot! Forearms are exchanged. Grace gets the advantage, then bounces Blake off the turnbuckles in the backslide position. Grace elbows Monroe, then hits a spinebuster. Jackhammer by Grace gets two! Grace tries to reverse Alabama Slam Monroe, Blake rips the bottom turnbuckle off but gets hit with it anyway. Grace hits Monroe with big moves to no avail. Blake hits the Stroke! Bridging armbar by Blake, but Jordynne gets out. Blake with a big knee for two. Jordynne hits a backdrop, then gets Blake in an Electric Chair. Bridging suplex out of that gets two! Headbutts are exchanged. Blake hits a running knee then a backdrop driver gets two. Blake goes back to the shoulder. Blake goes for a rana off the corner, but Jordynne blocks. Sitout powerbomb off the turnbuckle gets two for Jordynne! Blake is prone in the corner with the exposed turnbuckle, so she moves when Jordynne charges in. A DDT ends things.

Jaida Parker whines about losing earlier, so Lash Legend comes in and brags about her recent accomplishments. Two referees break things up.
Sarah Schrieber gets blown off by Jacy Jayne and yells at Jazmyn for getting kicked out of ringside. Lola Vice shows up to talk some stuff, then Sol Ruca & Zaria come in to talk their stuff. Fatal Influence walk off in disgust.
Mixed Tag Team Match: Chelsea Green & Ethan Page vs. Tyra Mae Steele & Tavion Heights: My Peacock feed goes down during Chelsea’s entrance. Not sure it could have chosen a worse time but at least we got it back on before the match started. Steele rolls Chelsea around the ring, locks in a bow & arrow. Heights sends Ego into Chelsea. Page & Green end up getting dropped outside. The fans seem to support the Canadians here, can’t say I blame them. Page says he won’t give us citizenship. Heights & Page tag in, Heights with some punches. Page kicks him down and hits some stomps. Heights with a chop, Page knocks him back down. Page bounces Heights’ head off the corner, then hits a vertical suplex. Page with a chinlock. The fans chant for the Secret Hervice, deservedly so. Ethan & Tavion run into each other. Chelsea takes Tyra out on the outside. Ego hits a suplex for two. Chelsea tags in and tries to punch Heights. Tyra spears Chelsea down. Tyra catapults Chelsea into Ethan. Chelsea knocks Steele into the ropes and hits a charge. Chelsea boots Tyra down in the corner and covers for two. Chelsea takes the offense for a bit, but she & Tyra both try a crossbody. Tags to the men. Overhead throw by Heights. Deadlift Jackhammer gets two on Page. Chelsea tries to knee Heights, doesn’t really work. Heights & Page boot each other down. Tyra tags in and suplexes Page! Several shots to Chelsea, then a spinebuster. Steele tries a suplex, Alba tries to break it up, but ends up getting suplexed with Page! Steele ankle locks Page, but Chelsea is the legal competitor. Alba with a superkick on Steele, then Chelsea hits the Unpretty-Her for the three count.

Josh Briggs tells Oba Femi that he thinks his title reign is ending tonight. The grind of being a champion is wearing Oba down. Oba declares Riggs’ opinions insignificant. Riggs says that he’ll be watching tonight and wishes him luck.
Sarah talks to Ava, who says the Speed championships will now be defended on NXT. Sol Ruca will defend hers against the winner of a tournament with various promotions involved.
NXT Championship Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Je’Von Evans: >: Is it just me or does Mike Rome look like Drake Maverick with an extra foot of height? Evans has tape all over his body, so he’s looking to strike early. Evans gets struck to the apron. Femi blocks a suplex and shoulderblocks Evans down. Evans fights back with a chop, then some in the corner. Femi with a kick, Evans with a punch then Femi with another kick. Femi blocks the Cody Cutter, Evans flies high in the air and gets shoulderblocked down. Femi snap mares and kicks Evans. Evans evades Femi in the corner, dives onto Femi and gets caught. Femi takes him down. Evans kicks Femi down, another kick gets one. Evans goes up top, avoids Oba’s knees and double stomps him. Springboard into a rana, then a dropkick. Evans teases a dive but Oba catches him for a chokeslam, Oba gets blocked on that but slaps Evans’ chest so he does down on the apron. Oba presses Evans back into the ring. Oba stands on Evans’ ribs. Gutbuster by Femi. Another press by Femi, this time into a gutbuster gets two. Femi with a rear chinlock on Evans. Oba shifts his weight on an attempted suplex by Evans and gets a two count. Evans kicks Oba down from the mat. Oba comes back in and hits a spinebuster for two. Hard whip into the corner sends Evans in the air. Evans fights back with some running punches. Femi catches Evans and hits a backbreaker. Chokeslam gets two. Femi keeps on Evans, but Evans fights back. Je’Von hits a flying clothesline, then a twisting kick. Another one gets two! Femi goes for a big move, Evans reverses into a DDT. Evans goes up top, hits a frog splash but doesn’t get all of it. Frog splash #2 gets 2. Strikes are exchanged. Dragon suplex by Evans, Femi right up for the clothesline! Shots in the corner, but Femi gets out of that. Evans with a cutter! Evans jumps off the top and Femi cleans his clock! That gets two. Femi goes up top with Evans on his shoulders, Evans fights out. Evans gets up top, but Oba tosses him off the top onto the referee! Evans ranas Femi off the top, then hits a couple of Cutters! One referee runs down and counts three, but the original referee sees Femi’s foot under the rope! Evans misses a dive by a mile, then Femi picks Je’Von up and just tosses him over the top through the announce table! Powerbomb mercifully ends it for the young OG.

Femi stands tall. We then hear the music of Ricky Saints, who earlier tonight deemed himself the #1 contender. The stare down and smack talk start as the show comes to an end.
