Ciocco’s AEW September to Remember Review

SICKOS! It’s Wednesday, you know what that means! AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight from London…

(Long dramatic pause, looks to the right)

Ontario…

(Long dramatic pause, looks to the left)

CANADA!

Well, that introduction seemed kind of fitting, honestly, because tonight is not just any episode of Dynamite, oh no! Tonight is September to Remember, a three-plus hour episode of Dynamite, the first of its kind since the back-to-back four-hour specials in June.

There will be three tag team matches tonight with title implications. We know that Brodido will be defending the World Tag Team Titles at All-Out, but who they are facing is yet to be known. We’ll start with Rod and Todd, ere I mean Nick and Matt Jackson facing off with The Bang Bang Gang, Jet Speed going up against Kip Sabian and Killswitch, and Top Flight versus DCF members Hechicero and Josh Alexander, with the three victorious teams moving on to face Brodido on Saturday. We know that Kazuchika Okada will be defending his Unified Title against Konosuke Takeshita and the winner of tonight’s match between Mascara Dorada and The Beast Mortos.

Elsewhere, Riho will be in action against Robyn Renegade, Jon Moxley will face Roderick Strong, in a preview of what is to come on Saturday, Bobby Lashley and Toa Liona will do battle, and in a No-Holds Barred match, Queen Aminata will square up with Thekla. In addition, there will be a contract signing between Hangman Adam Page and Kyle Fletcher ahead of Saturday’s World Title match, there will be a spotlight shined on our Women’s Champion TIMELESS Toni Storm, and after agreeing to no physicality, Christian Cage and Adam Copeland will meet FTR face-to-face ahead of their match this Saturday. All of this and, of course, so much more!

So, how is everyone doing tonight? Eagles are 2-0, Phillies are on quite the roll, and I have another car that I hopefully will NOT wreck this time! Oh, and just a reminder to everyone to be nice to whomever replaces me next week, as I am going to the Dynamite in “Pittsburgh”.

With that out of the way, let’s get ready to Remember THIS September!

Graps! Image Credit: FTR – Follow the Revolution on Facebook. The Queen and the Spider, we all love it!

Tonight, we are LIVE North of the border in the great country of Canada, London to be specific, for this special edition of Dynamite! The Man behind the Mask, Excalibur, the Human Suplex Machine, Taz, and The American Dragon, Bryan Danielson are on the call tonight!

Alright, we get the FULL sample from Sum-41! Appropriate, I suppose, since we are in Ontario, where they originated lol.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring with a table. It’s time for the contract signing for the World Title match this Saturday! First up, the Champion of the World, Hangman Adam Page!

Page makes his way out, as Arilyn moves as fast as she ever has to get to the TV screen!

And his opponent, he is the TNT Champion, let’s welcome Kyle Fletcher and his manager, Don Callis!

Damn, even in London, Callis gets booed lol! Kyle and Don make their way to the ring.

Tony says everyone has read the contract, thank you for no physicality. It goes to Kyle first.

WHOA WHOA WHOA hold on a second, says Don. He has something important to say to Page. He remembers when he took that belt from him when he beat that weakling friend Kenny Omega years ago. And Callis has been waiting to take that title from Page, and he found someone who is bigger, stronger, and faster than Omega and Page. There is no one better than this stud, Kyle, so enjoy the title, because this Saturday, it’s coming to the Family.

Page says after last week, he is glad they are in agreement they don’t need help in this match. Page wants to explain why he did this, as he feels the fans are tired of half of the roster interfering in title matches. And Page is willing to put the entire DCF in the ground. He sees the potential in Kyle, and what he could be. You are 26-years old, you can be in AEW for decades. You are someone that this roster than look at to carry the title into the next generation. You are going to have to be worthy of it. You will have to earn this and do this by yourself. If you read that contract, that if Don or any member of the DCF gets involved, not only do you lose the match, but you will be stripped of the TNT Title as well.

Callis goes to protest, but Kyle stops him. Page says you talked so confidently last week, are you not sure now?

Fletcher asks if you think this scares me. You can put anything in that contract. He would crawl through a mile of broken glass, and he still would have signed it. He is scared of nothing, so congrats, you got it signed and put into writing, but it changes nothing. He is still the best professional wrestler to step into an AEW ring. This Saturday, he fulfills his destiny when he becomes the AEW Men’s World Champion. He is better than Page was in 2019 when he first challenged for it, he is better than Page was when he first won the title in 2022, and he is damn sure better than Page is now. AEW doesn’t need you anymore, it doesn’t need Omega, what it needs is the Protostar, Kyle Fletcher! So, he’ll do Hangman a favor and let him ride off into the sunset, because this title, and the entire company, belongs to me!

Fletcher signs the contract, and Page says that he knows what it is like, he has been in his shoes before. But you don’t know how it feels, the day after All-Out, it will take every shred of your being and heart from you. You say that you are ready, but Page will make sure that he is more than capable of beating Fletcher. At All-Out, and in the days and years that follow, do not disappoint me!

Page signs the contract, but Fletcher has one more thing. He hopes that, by now, you know that I am a man of my word. There would be no physicality at this contract signing, there will be no interference in their title match, and he promises to win the title from Hangman. He also promises to beat Page within an inch of life, so bad that he cannot walk out on his own two feet. Until such a time, say my full name!

Fletcher shoves the mic into the chest of Hangman, as Kyle and Don take their leave.

Excalibur shills the PPV being on HBO Max now and the discount price.

Darby Allin promo! He says Moxley called Bryan Danielson a friend, look what you did to him. He looked up to Jon, because he wanted to be just like Moxley. But now he doesn’t want to be anything like Jon. He is going to put a nail in this whole thing. If you want to burn AEW to the ground, don’t be surprised when I pull you into the fire!

Speaking of Jon, he is here to open the show proper!

Jon Moxley W/Marina Shafir and Daniel Garcia vs. Roderick Strong W/Kyle O’Reilly

Before there is any contact between the match participants, Strong hits a baseball slide on an oblivious Garcia lol. Strong proceeds to chop Moxley around the ring side area, but Moxley fights back by gouging the eyes of Strong. Moxley returns to the ring to break the count, he comes back out, but Roddy with a backdrop suplex to Jon onto the barricade.

Strong returns Moxley to the ring, but Moxley reverses that and stands on Strong in the corner. Corner-to-corner goes Moxley with clotheslines, he mounts and punches Roddy to ten and then gouges the eyes again. Moxley with more chops, Strong tries to reply, but Moxley drops Strong to the mat. Moxley with some straight punches, but Strong catches Moxley with a dropkick. Moxley retreats from the ring, Marina comes face-to-face with Roddy (must be awkward) as Garcia tries to sneak up on Strong. O’Reilly comes over to even the odds, but Moxley blindsides Strong and throws him into the barricade as we go to PIP break.

Moxley with a backdrop suplex by Moxley for a two count as we return. Moxley with a double wrist lock on Strong, Roddy to his feet and hits a jawbreaker to break the hold. Standing enziguri and chops from Roddy. Moxley reverses Strong, but Roddy runs through him with a lariat. Strong with the double knee gut buster into the face down Angle Slam for a two count. Strong tries to double underhook Moxley, but he sneaks out and they trade shots. Lariat by Moxley, he sets up Strong for a piledriver, flips off the fans, and hits it. Cover for a two count. Moxley with a cross arm-breaker, but Strong quickly gets the rope break.

Both men back to their feet, forearms are exchanged. Moxley resorts to the eye poke, but Strong with the Sick Kick! Angle Slam by Strong, but Moxley holds and applies the Bulldog Choke. Strong quickly gets the rope break. he gets to his feet and hits another Angle Slam for a two count. Strong sits Moxley on the top rope and goes up. Moxley says no thanks and proceeds to eat at Roddy’s fingers. Strong back with an enziguri and again he goes up top. AVALANCHE ANGLE SLAM BY STRONG! The cover, two count. Moxley looking for the Paradigm Shift, but Strong takes him out and down to the floor. Strong returns Moxley to the ring, but Garcia grabs his foot. KOR attacks Garcia, while Moxley rolls up Strong for a two count. High knee strike from Strong, but Wheeler Yuta is here, and he trips up Strong! Moxley with the Paradigm Shift into the Bulldog Choke, and Strong taps out.
WINNER: Jon Moxley
TIME: 12:45
THOUGHTS: Paint by the numbers, but not a bad match by any means. The Death Riders having the numbers was to be expected.
RATING: ***

Video package for the MJF-Mark Briscoe match at All-Out. MJF says I DO! BAH GAWD! I DO!

Apparently, MJF was not pleased with the stipulation, as we see him enter Tony Khan’s office. Tony says hey Max, but Max says no hey Tony. You screwed me out of cashing in my contract on Page, and you owe me one here, so let me out of this match, because he is not a death match douchebag.

Tony says no, he will not let Max out of this match, because he broke the rules and cost Briscoe his chance to compete for the World Title.

Max says, fine, you decided to put on your big boy pants today. It will be on you when he puts another Briscoe in the ground. Max storms out of Khan’s office and leaves our view.

Big Meaty Men will do Big Meaty Men stuff after the break!

COMMERCIALS!

The second one sees Lashley go-behind Liona, but Toa backs him into the corner and proceeds to stomp on Lashley. Bryce Remsburg pulls Toa away from Lashley, so he goes back to the corner and stretches Lashley’s face off the top rope. Clubbing blows from Toa, he backs off, and Lashley fires out of the corner. He throws Toa into the corner and pummels Toa with shots. He charges the corner, but Toa gets his feet up, sending Lashley to the mat. He chokes him with his boot to the count of four. The FTR-C&C meeting is up next!

COMMERCIALS!

Schiavone is earning his pay tonight! He says this is a moment, this reunion, that we never thought we would see again, and they are doing it in their home country! He introduces Adam Copeland first.

Copeland is out through the smoke and shakes a young fan’s hand before entering the ring. He takes a moment to soak in the home country fans ovation and we let the Mothercanuckers sing his song.

The music hits before Tony can introduce him, but Schiavone introduces Christian Cage next. Cage comes out with a poker face as he enters the ring. Cage looks out into the crowd, so Copeland joins him and imitates his expression lol.

Tony introduces FTR and Big Stoke next. Not only do we get Stoke and FTR, but a dozen security guards. I am absolutely, positively sure that they will NOT get beaten up tonight lol.

Tony says he has called a lot of matches and seen a lot of things, but seeing these two teams, their first match in 20 years together in their hometown, what a moment. Tony says there will be heavy fines if there is any physicality between the teams.

Stoke takes the mic and makes sure they understand that if they touch Dax or Cash, that’ll be 100K. if you touch Stoke, that’ll be 500K. So, their kids, their family, their 6th grade teacher, will in fact not see them compete in their hometown this Saturday.

Cash with the mic. 16 years ago, Adam, 2009, he met him for the first time. 16 years ago, you were the biggest star in the business and he was a nothing trying to get somewhere. You walked into the gym he was working at, and they didn’t just become friends, he became his mentor. Adam told him that he can get him opportunity, but when you do, you kick the door down on him. It’s safe to say that, ten years later, they have become Living Legends. They helped Copeland get his career back on track. So, you come to AEW, and you try to make it the Cope Show. You made it all about you all the time. Six years ago, they brought his career back, this Saturday, they take it from him.

Dax says he will not yell over anyone. There was a time where they were the best tag team in the world. But to be fair, there was only two mediocre teams to carry them. For 11 years, FTR have carried tag team wrestling on their backs, and they are the best team alive. They name drop Enzo and Big Cass, American Alpha, The Bullet Club, The Briscoes, and Dax says they beat them all. This is a dream match for Adam and Christian. Maybe in another life, it would have been, but that’s not the hand life has dealt them.

Cope grabs the mic and says shut the hell up, And stoke, you get no hoes. And he tells Dax to keep Beth’s name out of his mouth, or she will slap the lips off of his stupid face. Adam came to AEW to work with FTR, but they insist that they were held down by Copeland. It’s the fans, they don’t want them in the spotlight. You talk about being the best team in the world, congratulations, Adam and Christian have been here for 35 years. They reinvented tag team wrestling and made a match so popular there was a PPV named after it. You are in the big time now, and Cope and Cage will beat them in front of their hometown fans. Saturday, Cope and Cage are back in business.

Cage: It’s Cage and Cope.

Copeland tells Dax to shut his mouth and calls him a piece of shit. Cage takes the mic, he says 100K is a lot of money, with that kind of money, Stoke could get himself a lot of hoes. 100K is nothing to Cage, hell, 500K is nothing to him because he is rich.

And with that, Cage slaps Dax in the face lol. Security tries to intervene and FTR try to hide, but as totally expected, security is useless lol. Damn, Cage must have given Dax the deal, as he was busted open the hard way.

Earlier today, The Remarkable Renee Paquette explains what the teams are fighting for tonight, a spot in the World Tag Team Title match at All-Out. The Young Bucks are dashing tonight! Look what the money did for them! They are Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, watch and see how amazing their entrance is tonight! Nick hands Renee 10 grand and tells her to spend it as she pleases. Huh, I wonder how Jon is going to feel about them propositioning his wife. Nick also says that is American dollars, LOL!

Well damn, I think the Bucks spent all of that money on pyro LMAO! We see how the Bucks spent their 500K as an inset promo while they make their entrance.

AEW World Tag Team Title Match Qualifier: The Young Bucks vs. Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson

The Bucks work over Austin in their corner. Matthew sends Juice to the floor, neck breaker/back breaker combo from the Bucks. That’ll send us to PIP Break.

Gunn avoids a double team SUPERKICK as we return from break. Austin goes for the tag, but Matthew pulls Robinson off the apron. Assisted slice bread into the PK combo by the Bucks for a two count. Nick goes into the bag and grabs some more money and tries to bribe Rick Knox lol. I thought he was in their pocket anyway after all of these years. Gunn tires to roll-up Matthew for a two count. He hits a tilt-a-world back breaker and finally tags in Robinson.

Juice enters like a house on fire with lariats and a Russian Leg Sweep. Senton Back Splash to Matthew. Juice Punch combination floors Nicholas. Gunn tagged back in; he whips Robinson into Nick for a CANNONABLL! Gunn off the ropes, Fame Asser! The cover, but Nick kicks out at two. Nick catches Juice with a face buster, but his moonsault misses Austin and he gives him a Fame Asser on the floor. SUPERKICK by Nicholas on the floor.

Back in the ring, Matt uses Nick to hit a sunset flip on Robinson for a two count. SUPERKICK by Nick on Juice for another two count. He tags Matt in as the fans chant THIS IS AWESOME. EVP Trigger is avoided, Gunn off the back of Robinson with a neck breaker to Matthew! Nicholas with a SUPERKICK to Juice, but he eats it and hits the Comebacker lariat! Leaping Flatliner from Austin! Bladerunner by Juice! The cover, but Matthew is out at two! Robinson puts Matthew on the top rope and goes up. Juice bites the head of Matthew like he is Moxley lol. Juice with a Rana from the top, but Matthew keeps hold with a sunset flip! Their partners push them around to counter the pins lol. TK Driver from outta nowhere gets the Bucks the win!
WINNER: The Young Bucks
TIME: 11:35
THOUGHTS: To the surprise of nobody, this match was pretty damn good. The Bucks have been on another level since they returned in March, and Robinson and Gunn are still capable wrestlers in their own right.
RATING: ***3/4

Mortos is in complete control of Dorada as we return from break. Mortos looking face buster, but Dorada lands on his feet. Mortos charges like the bull he is, but Dorada moves and he trips up Mortos. Around the world goes Dorada into head scissors. Out to the apron we go, Mexican Destroyer by Dorada to Mortos! he hits the floor, and here comes Dorada with his own Tornio! Dorada falls to the ground but gets back up and returns Mortos to the ring.

RATING: ***1/2

Post-match, Kazuchika Okada is here with Don Callis. Konosuke Takeshita comes out on his own and gets in the face of Okada. This distraction allows Dorada to hit a springboard crossbody to the champion. Dorada and Takeshita come face-to-face, as Excalibur tells us that the TIMELESS Toni Storm spotlight is up next!

COMMERCIALS!

It’s time to get TIMELESS with the star of the show, Toni Storm! She is here on the stage with a mic and, of course, the spotlight on her. This whore you all adore, this slut you can’t rebut, this tramp you can’t wallop, the skank you want to spank, is still the champ! But for how much longer, I do not know. Seven months ago, I won by baby back, and since then, I have lived every day as though it is my last. I have slain beasts, belt collectors, and forever champions, and I have loved every single disgusting, sweaty, bloody, sexually questionable second of it. Because AEW is where the best wrestle, and if you’re not willing to put your life on the line when you step in the ring, then darling, you ain’t shit! And now, I risk it all with three women who are worthy of this mantle. So, if this, indeed, the end of my reign, then it has been the honor of my life. But ladies, if you really want to take my title, then I suggest you burn my body to the ground, and then you pack my ashes into a little pipe, and then you take a big fat puff, because no one will get you as high as I can, darling.

Jamie Hayter is here! Personally, she isn’t a fan of the smut line. Just know that, after All-Out, you won’t look as good without the title. It’s been a long time since they went at it, but she wants her to remember three things. One, she doesn’t forget, two, you invited me into this match, and three, HAYTER HITS HARD!

Kris Statlander is here! if we are making a claim for the title, well, she doesn’t have won, because she hasn’t wrestled for it in four years. But you two don’t have the ovaries for this, because you can’t stop Stat.

Storm says bitches, trim your bushes, because at All-Out, it’s going to be…

But Thekla is here to cut it off now. They separate her from Toni, and it appears her match is next.

No Holds Barred Match: Thekla vs. Queen Aminata

Brawling starts at ring side, as Aminata throws Thekla into the barricade. Aminata says you want a fight, she’ll give it you, as she throws chairs and a trash can into the ring. She goes back to Thekla and hits a snap suplex to her on the floor. The Queen puts more goodies in the ring, but Thekla cuts her getting back into the ring. Thekla with the kendo stick shot and she throws it out into the crowd. Thekla sends Aminata into the crowd, grabs the trash can lid, climbs onto the barricade, and hits her in the head with it. PIP Break.

🧐🧐

Thekla chokes out Aminata as we return from break. She sets up the trash can and is looking for something, but Aminata fights her off and hangs her on the top rope. She smacks Thekla with the trash can and then hits a draping DDT into the trash can! The cover, two count. Aminata sets up a chair in the middle of the ring, but she turns into a chair to the gut by Thekla. She hits her in the back with it, and then SPEARS Aminta into the chair she set up! The cover, two count. Both women are on their knees as they trade forearms. Back on their feet, and Thekla takes over with more forearms and a thrust kick. Off the ropes, but Thekla runs into a headbutt! The cover, two count!

And we are on the other side, kind of like how BOTB used to do after Collision or Rampage lol. Aminata goes to the top, but Thekla whacks her in the head with the can lid. Aminata drops Thekla into the Tree of WHOA, she talks trash, but Thekla back up with another lid shot to Aminata! Thekla with a rana as she holds her spot in the corner. She does the Spider, but she runs into a thrown chair from Aminata! Buzzsaw DDT by Aminata to Thekla onto the chairs! The cover, two count. She puts a chair on Thekla and climbs to the top, but Thekla moves. She hits a stomp onto Aminata’s head and into the chair! The cover, the win.
WINNER: Thekla
TIME: 10:30
THOUGHTS: A good fun brawl between two women who have a lot of beef between them. Thekla winning is no surprise, but at some point, I’d like to see Aminata get a big win.
RATING: ***1/4

Post-match, Thekla on the mic, which is rare. TONI! You can stop looking, because your end is here!

Ask and you shall receive, because the Champ is here! She rolls into the ring and lays in the forearms to Thekla. Hayter is back, but so is Statlander, as she drags her off of the apron. Julia Hart and Skye Blue are here to attack Storm. Yuta and Marina are here as Kris says she doesn’t need their help and leaves. Toni fights off the Triangle of Madness, then comes face-to-face with Hayter. She wants her to hit her, but she won’t, and refs are here to break it up.

Alicia Atout-Friedman has Sky Flight outside the arena. Darius Martin says that they have been on a roll since they joined Sky Flight, and tonight, that continues when they beat the DCF and go on to the tag team title match at All-Out.

Hangman Page is here! He tells them to watch out for all 3,000 members of the Don Callis Family. he takes his leave as CD hypes them up.

More qualifying matches on the way!

AEW World Tag Team Title Qualifier: Jet Speed vs. Kip Sabian and Killswitch W/Mama Wayne

Sabian and Knight to start us off. Sabian talks to Killswitch, and Knight catches him with dropkicks, and an arm drag. Sabian falls back into his corner, so now he wants to tag out lol. Mike with kicks to the big man, Sabian in, double team hip toss and a double team front suplex. Double dropkick punctuates that offense. They both kick Killswitch off the apron, as both men take flight. Knight gets up and close with Mama Wayne, lucky bastard lol.

Back in the ring, Killswitch has put a halt to Bailey’s momentum. Mike tries to kick him back down, but Killswitch with one shot puts Speedball on the mat. Bailey off the ropes, but Mama Wayne grabs his foot. Bailey tries three times to kick Killswitch down, but Sabian low bridges Bailey to the floor. He climbs to the apron and hits a springboard moonsault to Bailey. Knight tries to intervene as we hit PIP Break.

Bailey fights out of Sabian’s hold only to eat a neck breaker as we return from break. Killswitch wants the tag, but Sabian won’t do it. That changes after Bailey does the bicycle kicks. Killswitch and Knight in now. A blind tag by Bailey, his Rana attempt to Killswitch doesn’t work, but Knight is in to help his partner get the big man to the mat! Sabian in, and he’s right out lol. Running Shooting Star Press by Knight. The cover, Killswitch out at two. Killswitch looking double team chokeslam, but double team DDT by Jet Speed! Round kick by Bailey. The cover, but Sabian breaks it up. Sabian jumps into a kick from Bailey. The standing moonsault knee drop neutralizes Sabian. Bailey runs into a headbutt from Killswitch. Chokeslam from Killswitch!

Sabian wants the tag, and he slaps Killswitch! That’s a legal tag, though, and Kip is in the match. He knocks Knight off the apron, Bailey with a roll-up for a two count. Sabian with a roll-up and has his feet on the ropes, but Killswitch knocks his feet off! What a turncoat lol. Sabian goes for the tag, but Killswitch dips LOL! Sabian turns into a flying clothesline from Knight! Time and Adventure by Bailey! The cover, Jet Speed are moving on!
WINNER: Jet Speed
TIME: 12:00
THOUGHTS: Formulaic as a tag team match. Jet Speed worked to keep Killswitch from getting anything going, but the issues continue to persist in what was formerly known as the Patriarchy.
RATING: ***1/4

Big Bill and Bryan Keith are in the back. Bill says that he has seen the graphic for Big Bill and Eddie Kingston, but he hasn’t heard anything. He doesn’t blame Eddie if he doesn’t want to cross the border, because this place is an international embarrassment. People run their mouths and say that Bill doesn’t belong in the ring, but the only person who won’t belong in the ring is Kingston. So, if, If, IF Eddie has the balls to show up Saturday, he will expose him as the fraud that he is.

Keith: FRAUD!!!

COMMERCIALS!

Earlier today, Bryan Danielson sat down with Darby Allin. Bryan wants to know why he climbed Mount Everest. Darby said he felt like he was living his life through other people. He wanted to make sure he did this for himself. He knows there are snakes in this business and you have to look out for yourself. At the end of the day, you are only as good as your word, and he gave people his word that he would climb Mount Everest and plant the AEW flag. And Moxley considered Bryan family, right? He remembers back when he was five, he didn’t know hie uncle was drunk, but he gave him his word. Take Sting, for instance, he would never turn his back on him.

Bryan wants to know if he is ready for this Coffin Match on Saturday. Darby doesn’t know. He wants Bryan to give him his word that he won’t interfere in the match. he blames himself for what happened at Wrestle Dream, Bryan says don’t say that, but Darby says his career is over. So, promise him that you won’t get involved. Bryan says you have his word, but he has something to ask of Darby, as leans in and whispers something. Darby says you have my word, and they shake hands.

Excalibur wants to know what Bryan said to him, but Danielson says that is between him and Darby. Damn, Excalibur, mind your own business lol.

C-E-O! Mone is here to watch the following match, as her titles adorn the timekeeper’s table at ring side lol.

Riho vs. Robyn Renegade

Robyn wants a test of strength, just mocking her height advantage. She stomps on Riho’s foot and works a side headlock. Riho back up, she stomps away on the foot of Renegade lol. Side headlock by Riho, float over, and a basement dropkick, sending Robyn to the floor. Riho waves to Mone at ring side and hits a crossbody block to Robyn. She has words with Mercedes as we go to PIP Break.

Renegade has Riho in a tree of WHOA and hits a stomp to her as we return from break. Running knee strike from Robyn gets her a two count. Riho rolls Robyn through and hits a double stomp! Riho ascends to the top, but Robyn rolls inward. Firewoman’s carry, but Riho out the back door. Back elbow from Robyn, but Riho with a Dragon Suplex! Crucifix Bomb by Riho for the win!
WINNER: Riho
TIME: 4:45
THOUGHTS: Only a slight level over a squash match. Robyn did get a bit of offense in, but she was never going to win the match with Riho being the challenger for the TBS Title on Saturday.
RATING: **1/2

Post-match, Robyn grabs ahold of Riho’s foot, as Mone hits the ring and hits the Bank Statement to Riho!

We get the events from Collision this past Saturday, as Jerry Lynn, of all people, tried to play peacemaker between Anthony Bowens and Max Caster. Are we really going to get an Acclaimed reunion?

COMMERCIALS!

The Death Riders are here post-break. Claudio says their issues with the Opps have not been resolved yet. Yuta says something, but who cares. Garcia says he is surrounded by people who care, so Saturday, come and get this business. Samoa Joe says well look at this, Daniel Garcia wants to be someone! They have heard them loud and clear; the challenge has been accepted.

Oh, so it’s going to be Garcia and Shibata for the Tailgate Brawl. Cool.

Don Callis is here to introduce his charges. I do like him giving Josh an introduction since he is from Toronto, usually he only does that for Hechicero.

AEW World Tag Team Title Match Qualifier: Top Flight W/Christopher Daniels vs. the Don Callis Family

Darius and Hechicero will start us off. Hechicero wrestles him to the ground, leg sweep by Darius, but Hechicero rolls Darius around and into a pin for a two count. Darius captures the leg of The Alchemist and rolls him up for a two count. Hechicero says enough and he punches Dairus in the gut and locks on a wrist lock. Alexander with the tag, as they whip Darius to their corner. He avoids both of them, and Dante flies in with a crossbody to both men. Darius tries a suplex, Dante blocks Josh trying to reverse it, allowing Darius to hit the suplex. Manhattan Drop into an assisted DDT by the Martin Squared to Hechicero. Dante and Darius to the floor, but the DCF cut them off and Alexander hits Darius with his running crossbody block. PIP Break incoming.

Hechicero peppers Darius with rabbit punches as we return from break. Alexander gets the tag, but Darius springboards out of the attack and tags in his brother. Dante fires away with forearms and a thrust kick. He kicks Hechicero off the apron and hits the Nosedive to Josh! The cover, Hechicero is back to break it up. Darius off the back of his brother and he dropkicks Hechicero to the floor. Darius with a crossbody block to the floor, and he gets back to his corner for the tag. German by Alexander. A second one. Josh tries to suplex both Martins, but Dante leaps over his brother and does a Mario Bros bop to Alexander lol. A reverse Rana follows, the cover for a two count. Alexander cuts off Dante with a release German and tags in Hechicero. The alchemist with a corner lariat, he throws him to Josh for a double leg takedown, Hechicero with a stuck DDT to Dante. Darius goes flying, but he meets the elbow of Hechicero on the floor! Dante tries to fight off Alexander while Hechicero has the ref, but Josh shoves him to the mat. The running Guillotine by Hechicero wins it for the Family!
WINNER: The Don Callis Family
TIME: 10:35
THOUGHTS: A fun main event. Even with the push that Dante and Darius have gotten, I’m not sure just how believable it was that they would win this match.
RATING: ***1/2

Post-match, Daniels finds himself surrounded by the DCF, but Scorpio Sky and Jet Speed are here! The Young Bucks are here! Brodido are here! They help the babyfaces clear the ring, and then King launches Bandido into everyone with aplomb lol. Archer just kicked Daniels into next year lol. Romero returns him to the ring, and they look to take CD out. Hangman Page is here! Page sends Romero to the floor and fights off an Archer chokeslam and sends him to the floor. Kyle Fletcher is here, but Page sees him. Romero grabs Hangman’s foot, though, and Fletcher launches an assault. Kyle takes off his jacket as a table is set up at ringside. Fletcher looks to do to Hangman what he did to Omega, but Page fights out of it. He fights off the DCF B-Team again, but his Buckshot attempt meets Kyle’s TNT Title head-on. Fletcher takes him back out to the apron and hits the suplex from the apron and through the table. Fletcher poses with both his TNT Title and Hangman’s World Title in the middle of the ring.

And with that, we are done!

The 411
September to Remember, indeed, as the special go-home episode of Dynamite saw the final push towards All-Out. After the card had been established coming out of the past week, this was about building out the Tailgate Brawl and other matches in that hour prior to the start of All-Out. Promos were on point tonight, especially from Storm and Allin. The matches were good, nothing Earth shattering, but it need not always be. A fun three-plus hour block of Dynamite coded action that flew by.
