Dustin Rhodes has seemingly commented on the Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize situation, addressing the matter indirectly on social media. As extensively reported over the weekend, Newell and Alize left before AEW Collision and their planned match was taken by Hyan and Maya World. The two took issue with the timing of the match only being budgeted for three minutes.
Several AEW stars commented on the situation thus far, and Rhodes added his voice to the matter. Without mentioning Newell and Alize, he posted to Twitter to comment.
Rhodes wrote:
“When you get an opportunity to perform on television, you say yes! You do exactly what the company wants/WITH A GREAT ATTITUDE. Otherwise, good luck in ur future endeavors. #KeepSteppin #WorkEthic #Passion #Opportunity.”
Newell and Alize have explained their side of the situation. The two said on a Twitch stream that they explained the matter respectfully and there was no bad blood from AEW that they were aware of. Newell has also denied any past issues with other independent bookings, something that has also been reported on.
