As previously reported, the pro wrestling world is buzzing with today’s announcement of a media rights deal between TNA Wrestling and AMC Network, which will see TNA Thursday Night iMPACT airing weekly on AMC. This has led to fans questioning and speculating if the new broadcast agreement means that the ongoing WWE and TNA partnership must end due to the new TV deal. According to PWInsider, this is not the case.
According to PWInsider, TNA and WWE’s working partnership, with TNA stars appearing on the NXT brand, is not ending. Sources in both companies were reportedly adamant that the existing partnership with both companies will continue.
Additionally, WWE sources confirmed to PWInsider that they were made aware of the AMC broadcast deal well before today’s announcement. So, WWE was not blindsided by today’s news.
Also, PWInsider notes that WWE sources made note of the press release mentioning WWE’s partnership with TNA. The press release states, “NA Wrestling in 2025 announced a ground-breaking, multi-year partnership with WWE and its NXT brand, thus WWE stars appear on TNA programming, and TNA stars appear on WWE shows.”
It remains to be seen how the relationship will continue over the next year. However, PWInsider reports sources in both companies are stating that today’s announcement doesn’t signal the death knell of the TNA and WWE relationship.
